Dr. Ben Carson and his campaign accused Sen. Ted Cruz’s team of sabotaging him in the Iowa caucuses Monday night by encouraging Cruz supporters to announce that Carson was dropping out of the race at their caucus sites.
“It was happening all over,†Iowa State Director Ryan Rhodes told MSNBC. “One of the precincts Candy [Carson, the candidate’s wife] walked into, she had to correct the record. She actually walked in, in Ankeny, and gave a speech about no, he’s still in the race and that’s a lie.â€

They blatantly misrepresented the CNN headline. Taking a break from campaigning, NOT dropped out. But of course the low information voters love to be lied to!
The Cruz camp also openly smeared Donald Trump at the caucuses tonight.

It doesn’t say he is dropping out. If he did drop out most his supporters would have gone to Rubio anyway.

The justification of this political dirty trick by the Cruzers posting now...I don’t know which adjective to use. Disgusting comes to mind. Embarrassing. Immoral.
Cruz’simply supporters simply made sure that caucus voters new about the CNN report that Carson was leaving the campaign trail and returning home to Florida after Iowa. There was nothing unethical at all about making sure that Carson supporters knew about this.
