Carson: Other campaigns sabotaged us with ‘dirty tricks’
MSNBC ^

Posted on 02/01/2016 9:41:01 PM PST by TigerClaws

Dr. Ben Carson and his campaign accused Sen. Ted Cruz’s team of sabotaging him in the Iowa caucuses Monday night by encouraging Cruz supporters to announce that Carson was dropping out of the race at their caucus sites.

“It was happening all over,” Iowa State Director Ryan Rhodes told MSNBC. “One of the precincts Candy [Carson, the candidate’s wife] walked into, she had to correct the record. She actually walked in, in Ankeny, and gave a speech about no, he’s still in the race and that’s a lie.”

Does any one know if Sen Mike Lee (of Utah) has endorsed Cruz? They were so tight and seemingly had each other’s backs as true Tea Party conservatives (when they were elected back in 2010). To me, Lee should be “out there” with an w/an endorsement, yet there seems to be a strange silence from him. And Tim Scott endorsed Rubio today...just against character.

Now if, and I question this whole allegation, but IF Cruz staff did keep the “Carson is dropping out” AFTER Carson himself said “nope, staying in the race” then Cruz is done. The creepy fliers (who ok’d those?); now the alleged Carson lie. And from other news reports about the Steve King tweet, it is being alleged that Cruz caucus goers also told some (political term here) “mistruths” about Trump. If any of this proves true, Iowa will be the only Cruz win (and the Tea Party will get kicked again.)

I can’t believe how dirty this all is. But shouldn’t be surprised.

“Cruz is another typical slimy politician.”

Yup! But the Cruzers here on FR think he’s diety, because he “says hes’ a conservative.” And they want people who prefer “other candidates” to “ get off their site” (meaning FR). Wow, just like the Democrats!

Funny I've been told by all you Trump supporters that you want a fighter that fights dirty and doesn't take prisoners. Gets things done and all. That was supposed to be Trump's big attraction so I've been told endless times on this very forum. You know, the guy that tells us what a “winner” he is over and over...

And that was in spite of Trump trying to buy votes with my money with the ethanol mandate increase. As far as I'm concerned that makes him by far the biggest crony capitalist/politician POS to use your words...

Ha Ha...

“the desperation to tar Cruz by trumpsters is pathetic. Your guy lost tonight, get over it and move on.”

Yeah, “lost,” but garnered the same number of deligates as did Cruz. We will see who’s laughing after NH. All the “spin” will be for Rubio, which can’t be a good thing for Cruz, what with Fox News being a wholly-owned subsidiary of the RNC/Rubio campaign.

I respect your opinion, but disagree.

If you want to be taken seriously, the NWO conspiracy crap doesn’t help. you dislike large businesses, got it.

“Cruz tried to take advantage of his oponents strange behavior?”

Carson’s behavior wasn’t strange at all. But If I were Cruz, I’d be staying away from houses of worship if this is what he sees as moral behavior.

But, it's okay to lie as long as you thank Jesus? I don't think so.

I think the reasoning must come from the idea that it's okay to lie if you ask God for forgiveness. Of course, that won't be done publicly like all Ted's other Jesus stuff.

I voted for Cruz in the primary and general in TX, but I wouldn't have if I'd known what a fake he is. He seems to have a poorly formed conscience.

“No proof any of this was some coordinated strategy coming from the top. Candidates have hundreds of operatives working the precincts getting creative in the heat of battle on game day. Carson will disingenuously milk this tempest in a teapot as will Trump’s own paid operatives here on FR who themselves are some pretty slimy characters.”

Are you sure you don’t work for Fox News? This is some of the best “spin” I’ve seen here all night!

This wasn’t a lie. They were reporting a breaking news story on CNN that Carsons schedule looked like a candidate that might be about to suspend his campaign.

Wrong...I heard the news report. Said Carson was going home to get clothes and also later in the week to attend the National Prayer Breakfast. They thought it strange...but no mention of Carson dropping out. Anderson cooper said he was wearing the same suit for four days now. They all thought Carson’s going home was strange, but at no time did any speculate that he was dropping out of the race.

Cruz Campaign jumped the gun on this one.

I would suggest you do some research. Evidently you are a lot newer to this game than I am. Calling something a Conspiracy theory is a convenient way to dismiss something you know nothing about. Start by reading the U.N.’s Agenda 21. Then dare to tell me the New World Order is a “conspiracy theory.” While you’re at it, read LOST...that is the LAW of the Sea Treaty. More NWO crap. Global Warming is another cog in the wheel that is about to run over us. Then I’ll give you another list which might just convince you the New World order is not some moon bat excuse which has no basis, but is indeed the plan which is destroying us even today.
You don’t even begin to know what I am talking about. Best learn.

” . . . Carson, a good man, was royally screwed by the Cruz supporters tonight who lied about him dropping out. Dirty trick rivaling Nixon. “

“while the “unlikeable” Ted Cruz had only a 37% unfavorable rating.”

That will change as people “get to know Cruz! I know, I’ve changed my opinion of him. Time was, I would have been fine if he got the nomination. Now, I’d have to think about it quite a bit.

"Wait Carson, I’ll throw you some cheese, to go with that whine."

I a amazed at the ease with which candidate Cruz and Team Cruz lies. I am also amazed that a lot of his supporters are cool with him flat out lying.

I haven’t heard anything about Mike Lee endorsing anyone. Would be interesting. I like Lee.
Cruz is showing the same slimyness he exposed with TPA, among other things. I do not believe he is eligible in the first place and absolutely will not vote for him.
The Tea Party didn’t seem to do so good after all. We picked Rubio too! Unfortunately.
When they prove it true which seems to be a done deal every person involved should be fined and barred from future involvement in political caucuses. We have to start holding people responsible.
