I’ll give you the last word as this is not even a conversation worth having. :-)

Ben Carson appears to be pulling a strong fourth place finish, which should pretty much whipsaw everyone coming in behind him, including Little Jebbie. Hitlery appears poised to edge Bernie, with straw candidate/spoiler/vote splitter Martin O’Malley shaving a few points in his third place finish.

I hope Uncle Joe and the who counts the votes theory is proven wrong.

I’m in Iowa, too, and have attended several caucuses. I agree with your assessment. I can find people who are supporting Trump but few of them have ever been to a caucus, and, when I ask, don’t appear inclined to attend. Of course, this is just anecdotal experience. I think Cruz will win but it is tighter now than it was earlier. If Cruz loses voters it doesn’t sound like Trump is their second choice. I think many of them will go to Carson or Rubio. So: Cruz 31%, Trump 28%, Rubio 15%, Carson, Paul will be next and then the others.

I think it will be a close match between Trump and Cruz. Cruz shot himself in the foot (good phrase whoever first said it) with the voter mailings. Otherwise, I think he would have taken Iowa with Trump a close second. I think Trump will take it.

On the ‘rat side, Hildabeast. But, when she falls as a result of her emails, Saunders will fill in the gap. Communists don’t care about the degree of communism, they just don’t want freedom lovers at the helm.

So... 1)Trump
2)Cruz

1)Hbeast
2)Saunders

Trump will say it is okay if they are running on ethanol. (I’ll guarantee you one thing, I bet the only ethanol in his Helo is in bottles and not the fuel tanks.)

Trump by 9, Cruz, Rubio

Sanders barely edges Hillary. Hillary goes on to beat Sanders after a vicious battle, then gets indicted right before the general.

I’m not sure I agree with his ethanol stance. IMO ethanol is bad. But I don’t agree 100% with most. There are bigger fish to fry here.

I agree. Better get your solar cooker and avoid the rush.

My problem isn't just ethanol, although that affects everyone, too.

My problem was that he said he'd use the EPA to enforce the mandate to its fullest. That means the EPA isn't going away under Trump.

The EPA, if you hadn't noticed, is the single most obstructive and damaging agency the Federal Government has when it comes to the Energy industry. (Full disclosure, I worked as a geologist in the Oil Patch for 35 years).

The EPA has attacked coal, and nearly destroyed electrical generation using coal by causing power plants to shut down as they cannot afford multiple serial refits to comply with a series of moving target emissions standards.

The EPA has attacked Oil and Gas, by attacking the 80 year old process of hydraulic fracturing which has made the recent boom in oil and natural gas production possible.

This is a rogue agency which has asserted authority over CO2 emissions as a "Pollutant", and over the intermittent wetlands you might know as "mud holes" in your driveway.

The list goes on for abuses, usurpation, and regulatory disaster--not to mention environmental incidents like the Gold King Mine (Animas River) disaster.

They are invasive, unaccountable, and out of control.

The seminal question is this:

How are we going to 'make America great again' and keep the single agency which is doing the most to shut down the power that will make industry run?

Sure, send the illegals home (the rest of us can sweep up and turn out the lights) but there will be no resurgence in industry without power to drive it and and the fuel to move goods.

The keeping of the EPA in it’s current state would be a major deal breaker. To Make America Great Again, the EPA mission statement needs to be drastically changed. I believe that Trump must do that. And I believe he will.

He has given no indication that he will change anything at EPA.

None.

He has stated he would use the agency to its fullest to enforce a mandate.

I do not believe appropriated funds are allocated on a line-item basis, so any funding would also go to perpetrating more ills against American industry and the American people.

This is a most foul and arbitrary tyranny, with the agency arbitrarily making and changing the rules by which it prosecutes people and industry.

I have no faith, without a clear statement to that effect, that any scaling back of the attacks on Americans or American Industry would occur.

Just google EPA and Trump. He has vowed to cut spending for the EPA on many occasions.

That isn’t what he said when he was pandering to the ethanol lobby. So who did he lie to?
