The personalized letters target individual Iowa voters and identifies them as having failed to vote in prior elections. They are admonished and then encouraged to vote this year. In addition the letters identify the neighbors of the voter, and provides their voting history.
The text reads:
"You are receiving this election notice because of low expected voter turnout in your area. Your individual voting history as well as your neighbors' are public record. Their scores are published below, and many of them will see your score as well. CAUCUS ON MONDAY TO IMPROVE YOUR SCORE and please encourage your neighbors to caucus as well. A follow-up notice may be issued following Monday's caucuses".
In an effort to shame the recipient, the notice also informs the targeted voter their neighbors have also been notified of the recipients poor voting record.

That’s what’s missing that we once had in our country. It seems wherever we go, we face dishonesty, cheating, etc. I believe this country’s problems are in direct proportion to the citizen’s distance from God.

I think it’s called desperation. I saw on You tube, (I didn’t watch the debate, but read about it, and I did look up on You Tube what Cruz said in his opening statement and Ted apparently thought he was as real cute with slamming Donald Trump when Cruz said, “I’m a maniac, and everyone on this stage is stupid, fat, and ugly and Ben, you’re a terrible surgeon. Now that we’ve gotten Donald Trump out of the way, Cruz went on to thank the people on the stage for showing up Etc,.” The real impression that I got was that Cruz was playing to the moderators more than anything else; however; I myself, thought it was in very poor taste.
I only bore you because I am telling the truth. It stopped here because true Americans did not like this leftist tactic.

It is so bad and over the top it cannot be real; a dirty trick or sabotage from within. Who, besides someone from Fox News, would ever have believed this would work?

Deport them all, every illegal, anchor baby, dreamer and to back of line for the good ones. What line? The work visa line, no citizenship.
Build wall, end sanctuary cities , and enforce employment verification. Solid policy and far better than what anyone else is promising, actually all the others are vague or tailoring their rhetoric depending on who the audience is on this issue.

And I believe this country’s problems are in direct proportion to the citizen’s distance from a decent education. Note that Dr. Carson’s closing statement in the last debate was a recitation of the Preamble to the U.S. Constitution, from memory.

I’d be interested in what Cruz has to say about this....until then it’s still all he said they said she said stuff. But even then this is NT a big deal to me...just more “stuff” to run with and of course the press will. My response remains the same...Go Ted Go!!!

I tell you this. If it was the Trump campaign that sent these violations out, the opinions on this board would be 180 degrees different. Cruz supporters would be trumpeting this as an example of how Trump is utterly out of control and contemptuous of the citizens of Iowa and Trump supporters would be defending it as "genius" and "brilliant".
We’ve seen this before, used to be called Bush Derangement Syndrome, everything’s his fault. Now it’s Trump’s turn to be the villain, out of petty low IQ cruz supporters.
What truth?.....I know Ted Cruz well enough on the issues that matter...this media event doesn’t sway me one way or the other...it just is whatever people want it to mean to the...it’s not an issue for me. Each to his own as they say.

Well, as a public school educator for 34+ years (retired), I AGREE.
We stopped teaching the Constitution and related liberty principles back in the early 1960’s, and as a result, our citizenry are completely ignorant with respect to our country, liberty, and a Free Republic.
I would take a bag of screws down to their offices to pay my taxes but I would probably get audited and put on their “destroy this conservative” list.
