In the flash player updates tab, there is written info, but it’s shadowed and it doesn’t allow me to select anything

Can you read the version number even though it is shadowed?

I am wondering why my version says 20.x while yours says 12. I am going to do some research on Windows8.1/IE for that version of Windows. Something is amiss. I shall answer you ASAP! ;-)

I read several of the pages and many folks STILL couldn't get Flash to work with all the suggested fixes with Windows 8.1 and I.E., so they switched their browser to chrome and all players work fine.
So I have 2 options I guess. I can update to Windows 10 (which I've heard mixed reviews about) or I can switch my browser to Chrome.
Any input on Windows 10 or Chrome?

Windows 10 - I never and I repeat, NEVER upgrade to a new operating system for at least one year from its release date. It usually takes that long for MS to get all of the bugs and gremlins fixed. ;-) I stayed with XP until MS stopped supporting it. I still run Windows 7.
Chrome - I have IE, Firefox, Chrome and Opera installed. Firefox is my 2nd browser although I do use Chrome from time to time. I have had no problems with Chrome. Chrome is a wee-bit faster than either IE or Firefox.

Chrome - I have IE, Firefox, Chrome and Opera installedSo you use more than one browser?
My main fear about switching browsers is that I'll lose hundreds of saved url's/favorites that I've saved in I.E.
That's my main concern.

I use IE for general browsing and FR.
Firefox for downloading multiple songs in one wack.
Chrome for downloading videos.
Opera - Whenever it should ever happen that one of the other browsers fail. ;-)
URLS, history, etc can be imported from IE to Chrome. You shall lose nothing, not even your good looks! ;-)

Dudess! You are looking exceptionally beautiful tonight! ( That is NOT a left-handed way of saying that you did NOT look beautiful on all of the other nights that I have seen you on FR! ) ;-)

So, do you think that for just general internet surfing, Chrome would work OK?
Do I need to reinstall Flash after I install Chrome?
Is Chrome free? I'm cheap but I'll pay for a reliable browser.
And yes, I'm good looking too :-)
