CNN ^

No one ever really doubted that Donald Trump could pull off a major counter-programing feat -- even when competing with a GOP debate that was expected to draw millions of viewers.

He did it Thursday night, dazzling a crowd of hundreds of enthusiastic supporters by announcing that he had raised more than $6 million for veterans in one day -- $1 million of it from his own checkbook. "We love our vets," he said.

Ahhhh. That might be the mystery million! Could also be BOR honestly. He could afford it and has his own organization for charities.

This is funny:

OMG that is hilarious.

Funny thing is: I couldn't find one I really disagreed with, at least much.

The other candidates just pale.

A counter-programming feat is exactly the way to put it. In 24 short hours, Trump wrested control from the media. I don’t know how they can now get it back. THIS is how shock and awe is done.

To make an omelet Donald Trump had to break a few eggs. Faux news ended up with egg on its face. ;-)

I see many more veteran charity drives in the future, bigger, all across the nation.

And i have a feeling something else will appear, cannot see it properly but one thought was a national veterans lottery across all 50 states.

Trump certainly showed the voters how he can get things done! Exactly what we need. His Cabinet will also be doers...and he’ll be meeting with them often (unlike what we have now).

He lives in Florida in a big compound and has studio facilities on his property. He has said over and over again that he moved from New York and could not broadcast from there even if he lived in another state because New York is the Gestapo of income taxing. He even said that he still regularly gets ‘audited’ by them and has to prove the number of times he was in the state during the year.

The total number of votes now is roughly equal to the entire membership of FR (350,000) there abouts.

Think about that. Even now there are over 60% saying Trump is the choice. In looking at our own ‘caucus’ (and Onyx does a GREAT job at it) we have two factions -Cruz and Trump- where the votes are near each other (Trump ahead).

But the total is between 300-400 each day since its inception. Trump’s standing at Drudge (an online poll) is about 65% with about 277,000 votes - almost near the entire FR membership.

So what I’m thinking is that our two ‘groups’ of supporters are very avid, loyal supporters of one or the other. Sometimes too avid and a lot of the time caustic and jibs and jabs fly with abandon. Meanwhile, there is a bunch of people out there that don’t even know who we are, just looking at the candidates and voting in an online poll when the mood strikes them.

We’ll all see come Iowa’s and NH’s votes, and on Super Tuesday and it will be largely decided by the Republican voters. The good news is that Jeb Bush won’t get even a dog squeeze chance at an honest nomination, IMO.

So, whoever comes out the winner, Ted or Donald, I’m gonna vote for him and I hope both sides will here, too.
