Republicans met for their seventh presidential debate Saturday, and we want to know who you think won.
Take a moment to click the link below next to the candidate who you thought did the best at the Fox News debate in Des Moines, Iowa. Weâve gone ahead and included front-runner Donald Trump, who skipped the debate over a conflict with Fox.

Having people on that stage who can't crack 2% is what is dumb. If you can't crack 10%, it's the kiddie table for you.
I didn’t make the rules. What part of “he wasn’t there and they still voted for him” don’t you understand?
It was a debate designed to show most in the worst possible light. All might have been better off skipping. (I can only imagine the videos of Trump that they would have had him try to explain.)
I thought Rubio did well for the part. Cruz stumbled at the beginning but recovered. Christie was good but he’s still Christie. Jeb was better - a few more degrees of improvement should get him all the way to mediocre, but then he will still be another Bush. Carson was not good. Kasich still doesn’t matter. I really don’t get the Rand Paul love - he was good by his standards, but I just don’t see him getting into the upper tier.
Every online poll I’ve seen tonight has had Trump winning the night......by a lot! :)
Trump won. His impromptu interview with the CNN reporter while sitting on the tarmack in his plane cast a very presidential-looking footlight. Cruz apparently bore the brunt of Kelly’s ambush tactics - I mean, what other moderator has pulled video clips up to try to paint a candidate in a corner? I didn’t watch the debate, but was Cruz actually serious when he made his comment about walking off the stage? Not quite as presidential as sitting on the tarmack.
It wasn’t like they wrote him in - it was one of the options. All of them are in the same race - who had the best night? The ones who subjected themselves to gotcha questions all night or the one who made headlines staying away?
He made points with me by staying away, but then the less I hear him the more I like him. (I’m not a fan, but I think his judgment in skipping the debate appears to have been sound.)
Looks like Curz may need a big knife to scrape off all that burned part.
Well excuse the hell out of me because I thought you voted for the people who actually attended the event.
Doesn’t matter to me anyway, really. I’ll never vote for Trump.
This is what's always bothered me. I just don't think it's a good strategy to go with someone the Dems can take out at the last minute.
My thoughts exactly.
Lots of people on the forum support Trump and signed up to let us know in the past year. Others have been long time members but I have never seen them post anything until now which is just in time to bash Cruz.
I hardly saw any Cruz bashing until Trump started doing it.
Before that I saw most of the long time Freepers who have posted regularly over the years, shared the common position of being for Cruz first, and Trump second.
What I never understood about that poison pill, is why Ted was still pushing H1-B Visa increases to 500% of what it had been two years later.
If it was a poison pill, why keep pushing it?
His explanation didn’t make sense.
They are going to think Cruz is evasive. There is no avoiding that take by the average person who has no clue about how dysfunctional the senate is, and how just about every decision is debated with games and slick rhetoric, instead of direct, honest debate.
Kristi kind of saved them both by claiming there's nothing wrong with changing your position as a politician, 'as long as you admit it'...
Neither one was willing to admit they flip-flopped even tho they were shown on the screen doing it...The bad thing about not admitting changing their position is that they are free to flip flop again if need be...
Exactly what the GOPe wants. This way they'll be able to slip in Bush or Rubio if they manage to take out Trump and Cruz.
Ditto.. Brilliant strategy by not going. He avoided the GOTCHA questions and video clips and completely sucked the air out of the room by not attending. Plus, Fox News has been exposed as just another main stream liberal outlet protecting the esteemed establishment of globalists who care very little for our country anyway.
If it weren’t for him I might not even vote.
Cruz had no choice, he said Schmucker was the slimeball running the show and it took that kind of maneuver to win the war. Even dunce head Kelly could understand it after the debate and she said she researched him all the way to the beginning and hr NEVER changed his position.
No...But the sad thing is he has been belittling Trump for calling Megan unfair and how's Trump going to stand up to anyone if he whines like a wimp in a tough situation, and here's Cruz seriously whining to the moderators how they are picking on him...I'm sure that wasn't lost on anyone...
He then tried to make light of it by saying, 'maybe I should walk off the stage too', or some similar thing while chuckling to the camera...
Yep! He'll be dropping out tomorrow!
I guess I didn’t make myself clear. I apologize.
I am not voting for Trump in the primary or the general if he is the nominee. I didn’t bust my ass working for the mid-term sweep just so a damn Liberal could be nominated as a Republican candidate.
The Canadian is as appealing a candidate as dry toast. I watched the eventual nominee in a heartwarming and inspiring show of patriotism with our wonderful veterans and Americans who want to make a difference.
The clips I’ve seen of Cruz however have not been impressive and he is hardly a leader or even someone who can play one on TV for a brief debate. Thank god for Donald bc Teddy would get crushed by the Socialist or Shrillary.
