An hour after a Ted Cruz-supporting super political action committee announced it would give $1.5 million to any charity if Donald Trump met him for a one-on-one debate, fellow GOP candidate Carly Fiorina jumped in on the action.
Upping the ante, I'm free tomorrow at 8pm, @realDonaldTrump. My campaign will give $2mm to veterans' cause to debate at Drake U. (2/2)-- Carly Fiorina (@CarlyFiorina) January 28, 2016
My campaign will also donate $1.5 million to veterans' cause to join debate Saturday in Sioux City, @tedcruz @realDonaldTrump (1/2)-- Carly Fiorina (@CarlyFiorina) January 28, 2016
The former Hewlett Packard CEO tweeted late Thursday night that her campaign would match Keep the Promise's $1.5 million donation to a charitable cause if Cruz and Trump let her join their debate in Sioux City, proposed for Saturday.
Fiorina upped the ante by daring the Manhattan billionaire to take her on one-on-one at the Thursday night rally he announced in place of his attending the seventh GOP debate, hosted by Fox News. Her campaign said it would donate $2 million to veterans' organizations if Trump accepts.
It is unclear whether Fiorina, part of the undercard debate set for 6 p.m. Central time, would skip the debate or fulfill her obligations with the Republican National Committee before heading to Drake University -- two miles away -- to take on Trump.

As much as I would like to see veterans get the $2 million, if I have to listen to Carly say “the debate the American people really want to see is me going after Hillary” one more time, I will throw something through my TV. Maybe somebody told her if she repeats it enough, it’ll be true. I want to listen to those two shrieking harpies about as much as I do the hyper-loud grunting women tennis players. NOT AT ALL.
She said her campaign...not sure, though.
Don’t forget....Ted’s PAC gave Carly $500K.
How can Fiorina and the undercard put conditions?
seems pretty ephemeral on their part.
It’s pathetically embarrassing to watch these ‘chihuahuas’ nipping at Trump’s coat tails, as they desperately imitate the ALPHA dog in the pack.
Exactly. Cruz and Fiorina can donate whatever they like, whenever they like.
They don’t need Trump to do that.
Against whose rules? RNC? The same rules that state all candidates be treated equally in a fair manner? Unsanctioned debates aside, we’ve yet to see a REAL debate thus far - only totcha questions by biased lib supporters who wish to see our men picked clean to the bones by hungry buzzards. Carly - no comment
Yeah it’s against RNC rules - the actual rule has been floating around on Twitter since Ted challenged Trump.
FEC Rule:
“The staging organization(s) does not structure the debates to promote or advance one candidate over another.”
Are you’all emulating “The Donald”? What class. No class.
They don’t even meet the requirements for low class, so you’re right.
sorry, I just get strong gut feelings about people sometimes, and women like Hillary, Pelosi and Fiorina...
I just want to slap them the minute they open their mouths.
They just rub me the wrong way, and it has nothing to do with their politics.

It would be interesting if Trump joined the other candidates who are fed up with the unprofessional behavior of FOX.
Rather than have a formal debate, it would be refreshing for them to have an unstructured “Firing Line” discussion of issues and how the left has destroyed this country.
This would refocus this campaign to the real issues.
