The deadline for presidential candidates and their super PACs to file quarterly spending reports is Sunday, but it's already pretty clear that Jeb Bush and his super PAC, Right to Rise, which has spent at least $82 million this election cycle, will little to show for it polling-wise, Reuters reports. Bush and his team spent $1.2 million on private planes between June and September 2015 (versus $700,000 spent by Hillary Clinton, for example, and $158,000 by Sen. Ted Cruz) and a higher percentage on luxury or "upper upscale" luxury hotels - 70 percent, or $125,000 - than his rivals, according to STR Global. Bush and Right to Rise have spent an estimated $82 million on ads, far more than Bush's competitors.
Some of Bush's well-heeled donors aren't happy with what they consider lavish spending, with 11 of 16 contacted by Reuters saying they are skeptical of how Bush's $100 millionâplus war chest has been spent. "There is no return on investment on the Bush ad buys, zero," one unidentified big donor told Reuters. "They are burning money," groused a second major donor. A third high-dollar donor made this point: "Look, this is not the election cycle to be spending like a silver-spoon Establishment candidate.... It just doesn't look right."

CHUMP CHANGE - after all, Bush is spending OPM.
There comes a time when donors must accept reality, close the checkbook and start looking somewhere else.
Jeb’s attitude is that if you want to be President, you’ve got to learn to live like a President. It’s method acting.
Yep, proving he’s presidential material. Just like the Bamster.
S U C K E R S!!!!
this whole election season was worth it just to see jeb at 4 percent.
he must cry to mommy every night, “why do they like Trump and Cruz more!! especially Trump!! i hate him mommy. i hate him.
Marcia Marcia Marcia!!”
Well, I’m sure they got some nice shoes, clothes and jewelry for Columbia :0)
Donors had similar complaints when the Bush spending was half that. Yet, they apparently kept their wallets open.
That is THEIR own faults.
Insanity: Doing the same thing over (giving money to stagnant political campaigns) and expecting a different result.
Well, okay, they are getting a different result. When they started giving, Jeb was at around 10%. Now, he is around 3%.
Spent all that super PAC money Jeb. What are you at 3%?
Bad management. Can’t be president.
Just living on other people’s dimes, after all, he is entitled as one of the nations political family dynasties.
The Clintoons do it with their foundation.
for example, and $158,000 by Sen. Ted Cruz
Marinate on that
A real “man of the people” that Jeb! is....
Primaries are the best preview of a candidate’s tendencies that we will get.
Does anyone else fondly remember when reporters and editors actually could write proper English?
I don’t have any sympathy for these donors. The Bushes still have influence and that is what they are buying. Sure, it would have worked out better if Jeb! got the nomination, but their $$ is not entirely wasted. Plus, these are all wealthy people. They would not be giving the $$ if they couldn’t afford to.
Hey, if you’re gonna lose anyway, shovel in the caviar before they kick you out.
It is not easy to spend all that money, takes real diligence. And he has to spend it all, it is the only way some family and friend have to become millionaires......
