Fox News throws up serious accusation against Trump campaign manager
Biz PAC Review ^ | 01/27/16 | Carmine Sabia

Fox News released a brutal statement Tuesday reacting to the announcement from the Donald Trump campaign that he would be bowing out of the next Republican presidential debate.

"As many of our viewers know, FOX News is hosting a sanctioned debate in Des Moines, Iowa, on Thursday night, three days before the first votes of the 2016 election are cast in the Iowa Caucus. Donald Trump is refusing to debate seven of his fellow presidential candidates on stage that night, which is near unprecedented," the statement read.

The network accused the campaign of leveling terroristic threats against debate moderator and Fox News host Megyn Kelly.

"We're not sure how Iowans are going to feel about him walking away from them at the last minute, but it should be clear to the American public by now that this is rooted in one thing - Megyn Kelly, whom he has viciously attacked since August and has now spent four days demanding be removed from the debate stage. Capitulating to politicians' ultimatums about a debate moderator violates all journalistic standards, as do threats, including the one leveled by Trump's campaign manager Corey Lewandowski toward Megyn Kelly.

"In a call on Saturday with a FOX News executive, Lewandowski stated that Megyn had a 'rough couple of days after that last debate' and he 'would hate to have her go through that again.' Lewandowski was warned not to level any more threats, but he continued to do so. We can't give in to terrorizations toward any of our employees," the statement continued.

But even with all of that, the network said it would still allow the current Republican presidential front-runner to attend the debate.

It’s all about viewer attendance and ratings. W/O DT it’ll tank and they know it. Also fox may be scared the other candidates will follow suit and the whole debate gets cancelled, which will again show how much sway DT has AND he wins again. It’s a trip ain’t it?

“Wounded Warriors executives make huge salaries and very little gets to the vets.”

They are a very liberal organization. They do not take donations from firearm related or Christian related organizations. They give to a few vets then use them as props for their commercials.

Actually, Wounded Warriors is getting some very bad headlines today, and it sounds like CBS is doing somewhat of an expose on the evening news today, so it is probably going to be risky to advertise support of Wounded Warriors right now.

Yeah, the same way CBS exposed Planned Parenthood.

Oh, wait.

Here is a prediction that may or may not occur. Sometime tomorrow, Trump announces he will appear on the debate if Fox News will donate ALL (100%) proceeds from their advertisers on the debate to Wounded Warriors.

That's plausible, but only if it is announced as something Fox has already agreed to do.

Hadn’t heard anything about that. I was just suggesting a way for trump to turn this thing into a winner for him and putting Fox in the position of having to choose between a charity or profits.

No, Fox is not losing this. Trump supporters may feel that way, but everyone I’ve met since the announcement thinks Trump looks like a wussie who is afraid of Megyn Kelly. Fox News would never survive bowing down to Trump.

The Trump Echo Chamber that FreeRepublic sometimes seems to be morphing into is not an accurate gauge of how average Americans view things. That ALWAYS happens...I’m always surprised when a conservative has a tough race against someone who seems obviously rotten to the core.

Trumpsters who live on the Internet may find a LOT of people do not share their “Trump is always right” views.

The RNC agreed to who the moderators are. I may not like the RNC’s decisions, but they cannot let one individual candidate make the decision.

For the first time in a long time, I felt compelled to send a message to a media outlet. You can do the same here: http://www.foxnews.com/story/2010/10/14/contact-us.html

Ms Kelly's email address is at the top of the list, and she seemed to be the best one to contact.

I politely suggest that Fox not cheapen the word "terrorism" in this way.

Agreed and the debate should go forward without this who choose to withdraw.

After all, the fair and balanced network, with the cooperation of the RNC, has even invited social media muslima and illegal immigrant activists to join the totally unbiased pool of questioners

Who is “Kelleigh Nelson” and why should I care about him/her? Never heard of “NewsWithViews.com”.

And since when has FreeRepublic considered MSNBC authoritative or even a slightly useful source of information? What next - a quote from Chris Matthews? Does MSNBC represent the views of democrats or republicans? If so, what does their praising Trump say about who the democrats WANT to run against?

Good catch on the wicked witch.

She attempted to design her own hurt locker and Trump not only put a stop to it, but threw Me-Again in it!!

“has even invited social media muslima and illegal immigrant activists”

Is Trump afraid of them? If so, how will he fight for those issues against a Congress who opposed him?
