Donald Trump has defended Vladimir Putin after a British public inquiry found the Russian president "probably" sanctioned the assassination of Russian dissident Alexander Litvinenko in London.
Mr Trump waded into the case saying he had seen "no evidence" of Mr Putin's involvement, adding: "They say a lot of things about me that are untrue too."
The front-runner for the Republican presidential nomination has previously said he felt a "great honour" when Mr Putin praised him as an "absolute leader". ..
But Mr Trump told Fox Business: "Have they found him (Mr Putin) guilty? I don't think they've found him guilty. If he did it, fine but I don't know that he did it.
"You know, people are saying they think it was him, it might have been him, it could have been him. But in all fairness to Putin - and I'm not saying this because he says 'Trump is brilliant and leading everybody' - the fact is that he hasn't been convicted of anything. Some people say he absolutely didn't do it.
"First of all, he says he didn't do it. Many people say it wasn't him. So who knows who did it?" ...
In the most personal attack yet on his main rival Mr Trump called Mr Cruz a "nasty guy" and a "jerk".
He said: "We can't have a guy who stands in the middle of the Senate floor and every other senator thinks he's a whack job." ..

No kidding.
Prove Putin poisoned him and not a fellow Ukrainian out for his job?
You are absolutely nuts. Too bad you are incapable of realizing it. Otherwise there might be some possible hope for you. Might.
Agreed. Everyone has there opinion, and there choice. We will know soon enough were the chips fall! I for one love all this acrimony. It fleshes things out.
Go Trump
Just curious, what are your, er, thoughts on this...
RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil -- Russia's push into Ukraine has put many on edge. But less known is that Russia is also strengthening its military links south of the Rio Grande and re-establishing itself as a power in the region.
Vladimir Putin has been strengthening military links here, and Russia is now the largest arms dealer to governments in Latin America, surpassing the United States.
Russia has even floated the possibility of building new military bases in Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua, and putting its warships permanently in the Caribbean.
In the midst of the Ukraine crisis, Russia's top diplomat Sergei Lavrov recently visited Cuba, Peru, Chile, and Nicaragua, where he announced that Russia would also pour money into the new Central American canal project. ..."

Russia agreed to provide military training for three leftist regimes in Latin America and increase military visits and exercises following a visit last week to the region by Moscow's Defense Minister Sergei Shoygu, Pentagon officials said.
Shoygu met with defense and military leaders in Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua and signed several agreements on warship visits and military training during the visit, which ran from Feb. 11 to 14. It is not clear whether any new arms deals were completed during the visit.
Defense officials said the Russian leader is seeking bases in the region for strategic bomber flights that Shoygu recently promised would include flights over the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean.

Oh, and thanks for making my point too.
Grow up for crying out loud, you make conservatives look like sniveling children.....unless maybe that is your purpose here....

So Trump will destroy his candidacy because Putin kissed him ?
Hey, Trump’s supporters in this matter probably believe that it’s just Putin doing a little bit of that eminent domain thingy - besides, Putin thinks all of Eastern Europe belongs to Russia [USSR].
Still pushing that lie, are we? My, how things don’t change from 2012.
------------
All the GOP candidates that want to start a war with Russia and Putin are losing in the polls.
What lie is that mm?
You are a crazy man and if you represent the norm for the Trump supporter there is no way I can support Trump. Putin has been rehabilitating Stalin in Russia for over a decade. Wake up smell the roses, get your head on straight.
The title above is not true. Trump says he doesn’t know, has seen no proof, etc.. That’s not defending Putin!
-----
Russia spent 500 years defending Orthodox Christians and Slavs in Eastern Europe - especially from Muslims - it's a hard habit to break.
It’s scary to think what Trump would do with executive power. He already said he wants the NSA to listen in on phone calls. His lawyer has threatened to sue into bankruptcy reporters who write negative stories. Nixon would look like a kitten compared to the revenge Trump would seek against his enemies using the full power of the federal government.
What would possibly lead me to think that?
Would love to know how Donald knows Putin is innocent when he can’t know it.
