According to the survey, Trump has 37 percent support among evangelicals, while Texas Sen. Ted Cruz has the support of 20 percent of evangelicals. Last week, Trump led Cruz by just 3 points in the tracking poll.

Well sure, ultimately Ted is the guy whose neck was on the line. (figuratively)

I wonder if Beck even has a clue what happened, the dynamics of it.

Palin is certainly helping Trump in Iowa.

Trump’s concern should be the number of his Iowa supporters who have never caucused. Easy to affirm your support to a pollster; takes more effort to go out on a cold, snowy night and sit through three hours of speeches by your neighbors before making your preference.

That’s not to say Trump won’t get a lot of caucus support in Iowa. But some of the experts say his ground game is lacking, and he’s relying too much on supporters getting to the caucus locations on their own.

I think Cruz wins narrowly in Iowa and battles for second place in New Hampshire—and he may finish in the middle of the pack in the Granite State. That sets up a rather interesting, do-or-die battle in South Carolina...

As smug and snug as his cranium is positioned in his posterior, I doubt Beck has a clue.

Every time something of Beck’s backfires/craters, he’s not the one to blame :- /

(That’s why I don’t understand how his two radio show stooges/side kicks hang in there....I know, I know....follow the $$).

January 26, 2016 - Trump, Cruz Go Down To The Wire In Iowa GOP Caucus, Quinnipiac University Poll Finds; Rubio A Distant Third As Others All But Disappear
PDF format

Additional Trend Information

The Iowa Republican Caucus is a two-man race going down to the wire with Donald Trump at 31 percent and Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas at 29 percent among likely Republican Caucus participants, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released today. Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida is at 13 percent, with no other candidate above 7 percent.

This is virtually unchanged from results of a January 11 survey by the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University showing Trump at 31 percent, with 29 percent for Cruz and 15 percent for Rubio.

Today, 2 percent are undecided and 39 percent of those who name a candidate say they might change their mind.

Among Iowa Republican Caucus-goers, 24 percent say they "would definitely not support" Trump, with 24 percent who would not support former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush. Only 12 percent say 'no way' to Cruz.

"Despite Sarah Palin's endorsement of Donald Trump and Gov. Terry Branstad's criticism of Sen. Ted Cruz, and despite - or because of - Sen. Cruz' 'New York values' comments, the Iowa Republican Caucus remains too close to call," said Peter A. Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll.

"One week before the caucuses gather, the question is which candidate has the best field organization. If the events of the last two weeks haven't moved the needle, one wonders what would change it in the next six days."

"It all comes down to turnout. And with four in 10 likely caucus participants saying they still might change their mind, this is an especially volatile race," Brown added.

"One thing is increasingly evident, the conservative wing of the Republican party, at least in Iowa, is carrying the day," Brown added.

Cruz is taking the lion's share of the right wing among Iowa likely Republican Caucus participants, with Trump taking a good chunk and only a few scraps for the rest of the pack.

Cruz leads Trump:
  • 50 - 34 percent among self-professed Tea Party members;
  • 39 - 27 percent among white, born-again Evangelical Christians;
  • 49 - 29 percent among voters describing themselves as "very conservative."
Trump leads Cruz:
  • 29 - 21 percent among self-identified "somewhat conservative" voters;
  • 37 - 6 percent among voters claiming to be "moderate" or "liberal."
The economy and jobs is the most important issue in deciding their vote, 27 percent of likely Republican Caucus participants say, with 18 percent listing terrorism, 11 percent citing foreign policy and 10 percent pointing to the federal deficit.

From January 18 - 24, Quinnipiac University surveyed 651 Iowa likely Republican Caucus participants with a margin of error of +/- 3.8 percentage points. Live interviewers call land lines and cell phones.

The Quinnipiac University Poll, directed by Douglas Schwartz, Ph.D., conducts public opinion surveys in Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Florida, Ohio, Virginia, Iowa, Colorado and the nation as a public service and for research.

Yes, Cruz may be a climber and shameless Evangelical panderer, but he is not yet an obvious danger, except for rewarding the invaders with legalization for overrunning our border.

I know what you mean, though. He is “likeable enough”. :)

Americans want our borders protected... and closed. Evangelicals know who can get the job done - and who knows how to ‘talk’ about it.

The reason Establishments of both parties hate Trump is they know he can so what he says he's going to do...

I hear Trump is polling very well in Russia and Cuba. He supports Obama's opening up to communist Cuba. And we know how highly he thinks of KGB Putin.

"It is always a great honor to be so nicely complimented by a man so highly respected within his own country and beyond"

"I think it's fine. I think it's fine, but we should have made a better deal"... "The concept of opening with Cuba is fine."

Trump, in 2013, endorsed communist Bill De Blasio for New York City mayor. He supports Obama's opening up to communist Cuba. He loves KGB Putin. He, in his mid-50s, supported gays in the military AND partial birth abortion.

DONALD TRUMP [on Larry King Show (2009), referring to the then newly elected communist president]: "Well, I really like him. I think that he's working very hard. He's trying to rebuild our reputation throughout the world. I mean, we really have lost a lot of reputation in the world. The previous administration [GW Bush] was a total disaster, a total catastrophe."

And I'm not saying I agree with everything he's doing. I do agree with what they're doing with the banks. Whether they FUND THEM or NATIONALIZE them, it doesn't matter, but you have to keep the banks going."

Well everybody knows ‘whites’ are born racist!! (Extreme sarcasm)

Did the survey begin by asking “are you white”?

“I wonder if it’s Barton and Beck who are actually ‘advising’ poor Ted.” >>>

Exactly! This is where the “Evangelicals Only” part of the strategy comes from.

The PATHWAYS TO LEGALIZATION part of the strategy comes from the CoC agenda and Wall Street donors interests I must assume. (It sure isn’t from the security wing of the base.)

For the record, Glenn Beck was one of a very rare few in a prominent media position to ever get into the ins and outs of the modern communist movement. He named names and connected the dots. And he did it in a clear and organized "classroom-like" manner via blackboards, graphics and video. He went into things that neither Hannity nor Limbaugh still haven't the slightest clue about. This despite all of the money and research tools they have available to them.

He schooled millions on the in-depth activities of today's communist left through his once popular Fox News show. He got into detail of who they are, what they are, who their various front groups are, and their affiliates in the demonRat party. No one in such a prominent media position as he, before or since, have come close to doing the sort of things he did. If not anything else, you have to at least give the guy credit for that. No way in hell would Obama or any of his ilk want a guy like him to have his own popular TV show.
