Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is stressing his bona fides as a dealmaker who'd be able to enter the White House and work with congressional Democrats to hammer out agreements.
"I think I'm going to be able to get along with Pelosi â I've always had a good relationship with Nancy Pelosi," Trump said Tuesday on MSNBC's "Morning Joe," referring to the House minority leader.
"Reid's going to be gone. I've always had a decent relationship with Reid," Trump said, referring to Harry Reid (D-Nev.), the Senate minority leader. "I always had a great relationship with Harry Reid."
Trump said he thought he'd get along with "just about everybody," including Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), likely to be the next Senate Democratic leader, who Trump said he was "close to ... in many in ways."
Why don’t the Tumpettes just admit they are in the love with the reality star? Just admit he’s a liberal. He’s telling you he is going to enjoy working with Nancy Pelosi! He doesn’t deny it, he just said it. No way in hell around his statement today. Go ahead and vote for him, but stop the BS that he is anything but an establishment insider.
Paul Ryan, Boehner and McConnell vindicated by Trump and the Trumpettes.
I think that Trump is either, A) trying to see just how far left he can go before he starts to lose support; or B) is so confident that he is going to win the primaries that he has already started his “run to the middle (left)” for the general election.
Well, he did donate to Pelosi and Reid in the past. So this isn’t a surprise.
Ain't that the truth.
Just as Reagan did, from a position of strength.
And remember what Indiana Senator James Watson said about Wilkie leading the Republican party.
Cruz was unsuccessful at leading them to do the right thing.
Donald has far better negotiation skills. He will be able to lead them.
If the Rats have 40 votes in the Senate they can stop anything and everything Trump legislatively tries to do. He has no choice but to work with the Rats.

It’s like Trump has had the powers of hypnotism over members here. It’s insane. Reminds me of The Time Machine, where humans have surrendered themselves to the Morlocks.
I know how he speaks, and, yes, based on his record I know what he means when he says “make deals.” He means, “I win.”
He is now, read the thread. LOL
You want to work with DUmocrats, then switch parties! Your values are most welcome in their ranks and you wouldn’t have to portray yourself as something you are not.

He didn't say it.
If he said it he didn't mean it. .
Everyone knows that "Politically correct" means "conservative." .
Allahpundit is a jerk. .
No one reads HotAir anymore. Who cares? Trump will build a wall. .
We should be more politically correct. .
He said it but it was taken out of context .
He said it but his words were twisted by the MSM .
He said it but you are too stupid to understand the brilliance .
If there is no YouTube video of it, it didn't happen .
Who cares what he says or even means if it means death to the GOPe and the Uniparty .
He was joking. .
On the surface i's troubling, unless you know Trump the businessman.
Negotiation is a polite way of saying manipulation.
“I think I’m going to be able to get along with Pelosi ââ¬â I’ve always had a good relationship with Nancy Pelosi,” Trump said Tuesday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” referring to the House minority leader.
“Reid’s going to be gone. I’ve always had a decent relationship with Reid,” Trump said, referring to Harry Reid (D-Nev.), the Senate minority leader. “I always had a great relationship with Harry Reid.”
Doesn’t sound like an “outsider”. Very disturbing; red flags flying.
Only if you are a skilled enough negotiator and leader to be able to lead the GOPe to do the right thing. The Donald is, Cruz ain't.
I agree, does Trump compromise one thing to get something else?
Say he gets the wall , but in return, signs on to boost legal immigration, or pick your issue, any of them you like.
“Deals” are not “Deals” unless both sides of the table walk away satisfied they both got something in return.
What are we willing to negotiate away to get what Trump is promising?
