I agree, does Trump compromise one thing to get something else?
Say he gets the wall , but in return, signs on to boost legal immigration, or pick your issue, any of them you like.

“Deals” are not “Deals” unless both sides of the table walk away satisfied they both got something in return.

What are we willing to negotiate away to get what Trump is promising?

What's the alternative to negotiation? I doubt that reading Green Eggs and Ham aloud until he gets his way would really be all that effective.

FOR How many YEARS have we gotten NOTHING?
I’ll go with Trump who I know can get us SOMETHING. Maybe it won’t be perfect, but it WILL BE one Heck of a lot better than what we’ve received for all the worthless promises since 2010. What have our majorities produced other than an advancement of the Obama wrecking ball? Well, I want somebody to make a wrecking ball work for US! Go Trump!

He’ll nominate his sister for SCOTUS to replace Ginsberg. The Dems will go for that and he’ll tell the GOPe it was a wash anyway so the Dems really didn’t get anything.

He has said the right things on the broad issues of immigration, national security, trade, jobs, common core & other things. Not enough for me.

He will have to negotiate all of those issues. What is he willing to give in order to get? What is up for grabs? What is off the table? If dem support for a “really, really good deal” regarding immigration hinges on his support of another nanny state policy, will he take the deal?

For instance, I don't wake up on morning to hear him say that even though he believes “The government has no business dictating what types of firearms good, honest people are allowed to own,” he gave in on this one small thing because what he got in return was so much better. It's a really good deal!

What am I willing to sacrifice? It is a question we all answer based on what we believe.
