Four years ago, I called the GOP the Thelma and Louise Party because its primary voters were determined to nominate a presidential candidate who could not possibly win the general election. The weirdest thing about Romneyâs doomed candidacy was the support he received from people like Ann Coulter, who had spent years vehemently denouncing such transparent RINOs. This year, Coulter supports another RINO who cannot win: Donald Trump. Now, Sarah Palin has endorsed this sure loser. Coulter and Palin have thus become the Thelma and Louise of the Republican Party. Will GOP voters let them drive their party off the cliff?

So do you agree with his bs premise?
No way.
Well watch and see who turns out to be the winner, and it won’t be David Catron.
Thanks.
I was asking the new poster, if he agreed with what he posted!
Wrong, the establishment gave them and forced them down our throats.
If we lose to Trump then we would definitely lose to Cruz by even a worse margin and probably lose the Senate and most of the House on top of it.
“This year, Coulter supports another RINO who cannot win: Donald Trump.”
Trump=Rino?
Don’t make me laugh....
Is he comparing Romney to Trump?
Sigh. I thought I read this kind of blatant anti-Trump propaganda had stopped here.
Guess not.
"Let's keep going!"
several times the GOP has had the door wide open to elect their “conservative/establishment” candidate and, with the exception of dubya, everyone blew the opportunity.

what is the definition of insanity?
He’s exactly right.
Followers of Trump follow because of his personality. He says the things they want to hear. His record is what’s best for Trump. People assume they will be in that group that benefits.
Obama followers liked him because of his personality too. They, too, couldn’t see the truth behind the mirrors.
Coulter also has a long history of picking the RINO candidates. She was a big Christie fan. Then Romney. Now Trump.
There is a pattern.
Palin also has a history. She continues to support McCain despite his record. So she is not exactly the standard for principled beliefs.
*shrug* I think he can win.
How many sleepless nights did this idiot spend making up this drivel.
Pray America wakes
Grampa Dave (btw: my handle could be great-grampa bob) :)
If his posting history is checked it appears that he only posts with no comments or responses.
Even at that could we as grampa’s not resort to the poo possibilities and be a little more respectful as examples to all these ‘noobies’.
Take care.........pilgrim
Don’t expect ‘tootinrootin’ to respond. It only post articles from American Spectator probably
as a job responsiblility. We have a few that onboard that appears to be part of their jobs.

Any of the Republican candidates will face a hostile press. Most of them are capable of responding with some grace and tact. Trump isn't. Trump's supporters think this doesn't matter. But it does. The Democrats still have their 47 percent, and Trump's negatives among persuadable uncommitted voters are extremely high. Yes, many people are angry. But anger needs to be tempered and disciplined, and subordinated to a coherent critique and strategy. Trump is just angry, and he charges reflexively that all our problems exist simply because our leaders are stupid and make stupid deals. That in itself is a remarkable demonstration of ignorance. Coupled with unfocused anger, it is a dangerous combination.
I would vote for Trump in the general if he is the nominee, but we have some better choices this year.
The whole USA is going off the cliff!

Hey, there! From the bottommost reaches of my little pea-pickin’ heart, this country girl out here in flyover country wants to THANK YOU for your National Review article on Donald J. Trump! I represent this vast expanse of Americana out here — more commonly known to YOU as “The-Land-of-the-Ignoramus-Dumbazzes” — and we just cannot thank you enough. How thoughtful of you, bless yer hearts.
Please... Write more about The Donald in your next issue. Your lovely pontifications and verbal works of eloquence are very helpful to us dumbazzes as we try to make important voting decisions. Many of us have been conflicted about Donald — it’s been so hard to figure out if he’s one of “You, The Establishment,” or one of “We, The People.”
Not any more! You are just sooooo inspiring. More! More!
Now pardon me while I go brew up some sweet tea and sit down to watch the bug zapper.
Later, Gators!
Nits
