In an interview airing Sunday on Fox's "Media Buzz," Trump told me there is already great affection for him in the black community.
"Look, the African Americans love me because they know I am going to bring back jobs," he told me at the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas.
Okay, a pretty standard Trumpian boast. But then he said this:
"They are going to like me better than they like Obama. The truth is Obama has done nothing for them."
The statement was so audacious that it took me a split-second to react.
"Did you just say," I interrupted, "African-Americans are going to like you better than the first African-American president."
The billionaire didn't back off.
"I think that relatively speaking - I mean he does have a slight advantage in all fairness- but I think relatively speaking when I am finished I think they will absolutely love Donald Trump," he said.
Keep in mind that most blacks routinely vote for Democrats. Ronald Reagan once got 14 percent of the African-American vote and it was considered a triumph. There was one poll last fall that showed Trump with 25 percent support among blacks, but it would be a shocker if those numbers held up.
In the interview, Trump told me he has cut back his attacks on members of the media as losers and idiots because the press is treating him with more respect, mentioning the Wall Street Journal editorial page and a recent Time cover story. Soon after we wrapped the interview, though, National Review attacked Trump as a menace to American conservatism, and he responded by calling it a failing publication with little influence. It was as if things had suddenly returned to normal.

I think you’re right!
What I mean by that is that Trump hasn't really begun yet to reach out to them. Once Trump has the nomination wrapped up and the focus switches to the general, I look for Trump to greatly expand his efforts among black Americans, who have been done so wrong by Obama and Democrats in general.
Look for him to do rallies and appearances in predominantly black areas such as Washington D.C., New York City, Detroit, Atlanta etc. Would not be surprised to see him draw enthusiastic predominantly black crowds. If Trump even gets the 15% of the black vote that Reagan got, this election is over. But I think the potential is for Trump to get much, much more. And this will not only win the election for Trump but will utterly devastate the Democrat Party, who have enjoyed the near total and unqualified support of blacks for decades now. Unearned as well I might say.
If Trump can bring a substantial percentage of black Americans to the Republican Party, and then improve their lot during his presidency, we are talking about a political earthquake that may resonate for generations to come.
Why would anyone want the alcoholic vote?

Omarosa is a product of the batty fun of that show. I don't think the stance she took in that game says much about the person she is after the experience.

Republicans have been idiots for not making their case to black voters. Black living standards improved more under Reagan than any other recent president. Economic growth will provide jobs to blacks — that’s what Republicans should be talking about. Moreover, by making this pitch, it will counter the charge that Republicans are racists that only care about the rich. In other words, it will help with white voters too.

Yep, but I think the idea of winning the black vote is too ambitious. But Trump is the only Republican that can do it, on the scene today.

Just remember the black precincts that went 100% for Obama. It won’t happen again because every single vote for Trump will be cutting down that lost percentage of the population and shifting them to the right column. Same goes for the Hispanics. Police those precincts to make sure the Dems don’t win them by shenanigans like last time.
And I have seen Vietnamese run off black thug mentality, turn ghettos into thriving communities. they don’t Eff around.
The point is this color culture stuff has to stop.
We are neighbors.

I didn’t mean to put her down! She was a very strong woman and it shocked a lot of people, but I know of nothing to say she’s anything but bright and intelligent. Ooops.
It is a plantation mentality. Once you have been paid to just complain, it is hard to go back to actually working to do things better. (Trigger Warning!!!) So to use a War of Northern Aggression analogy, the blacks are the field slaves and the white establishment folks are the house slaves, but they are all slaves to the “system” run by the plantation owners. Trump is leading the Protestant Abolitionists who are going to free the slaves from the plantation owners.

I agree but there is no disputing that blacks have gotten a raw deal from illegal immigration. It’s important to highlight the betrayal by the Dem part of their most loyal voting block (blacks) to foreign invaders.
