Beck said he had never endorsed a presidential candidate in his 40 years of broadcasting, but he made an exception because of the urgency of the moment.
He said he even prefers Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), a self-proclaimed "democratic socialist" running in the Democratic presidential primary, to Trump.
"Honesty, faith and truth are basic requirements. And quite honestly, I have to tell you, this probably isn't going to go over very well, that's why I like Bernie Sanders," he said. "Bernie Sanders is like, 'Yep, I'm a socialist.'
"I can actually sit at a table with a man who says, 'Yes, I'm a socialist, and yes, I don't like what we are doing, we should be more like Denmark,' " he added.

Bernie has been consistent about who he is.
Donald Trump is a snake in the grass. He now loves ethanol subsidies, federal land management, and the establishment. This week he said it was great that Reagan worked with Tip O’Neill. Uh - Donald? Was that why the government was shut EIGHT times back then?
Trump has given people who have badly hurt us gobs of money.

No what is embarrassing is the fact that the Trump supporters will believe everything they read that gives more credence to their support of him. Beck DID NOT say that he would vote for Bernie Sanders despite what you want to believe. Beck said he could support Bernie over Trump because at least Bernie is honest about who he is and what he believes. Unlike Trump, he doesn’t change his beliefs, his opinions or even his morals depending on what is best for him.
Bash Beck all you want. Trash Cruz and Cruz supporters. You are doing nothing but alienating people that you may need when it comes down to the general election. And for goodness sake, stop acting like the Obamabots and nitpicking statements and quotes just to make your case. At least be honest.

That was precisely Beck’s point...he knows what he would be getting with Sanders, whereas nobody has a clue what they’ll be getting with Trump. The histrionics are strong on this thread.
We’ll be getting more invasion with Sanders. Beck at a Cruz rally is ok with that. Not a tough choice here to roll the dice with Trump. And you?
Beck is once again providing a cold bucket of water in the face to everyone who thought they understood Ted Cruz’s ideology and thought process, including myself. The only good thing about electing Bernie Sanders is that he would push the accelerator to the floor and drive this country straight into an overpass and some of us would still be young enough to help pick up the pieces. The current death spiral we are in is more like a frog in a pot of water sitting on top of a stove.
Goodun, Smaj. I listened to this guy Beck one time more than5 year ago, I think, about half a program. Kept waiting for him to say something. Talked, oh, did he talk. But say anything? Nah. Never went back.
They should change "Talk Radio" to "Say-Something Radio." Hannity? Hear that?

Beck is a Mormon. And .. ever since he joined that .. he has been a little off balance. It does bother me that Cruz may not understand what Mormonism is all about.
Or, does Cruz have some half-baked LIBERAL on his staff who thinks supporting Beck would be a good idea.

Beck is a loon. The latest poll has Trump leading Cruz in Iowa by 11, and maybe part of his lead are people who are turned off by Beck, and his endorsement of Cruz.
I don’t think this was a good move by Cruz, but he is not carzy like Beck

I think Cruz probably regretted this move. He probably didn’t know the psycho was going to have him take a mock oath, and then try and embarrass him.

Here’s an intriguing question: Who would Cruz choose as his vice president? And who, specifically, would he nominate to the SCOTUS (keeping John Roberts in mind). We were pondering this over breakfast.

We have a week more of this BS to go to get to the Iowa primary which is a useless indicator of victory if history shows empirical evidence of victory.
What we do know is the long knives are out for Cruz.
