Life as a Trump spokesperson has got to be a degrading existence. Your job, essentially, is to defend every public utterance of a guy who changes positions every half hour, but refuses to ever admit that he has ever been wrong. As the Right Scoop notes, part of the job description of being a Trump spokesman is literally believing that Donald Trump has never been wrong, even when Donald Trump disagrees with previous things Donald Trump has said.
Supporters of other candidates do not have to do this. Rubio's supporters don't have to say that Rubio was never involved in Gang of 8 or that it wasn't a mistake, because Rubio admits it. Cruz's supporters don't have to say that he has never supported a massive increase in H-1B visas or that this wasn't a mistake because Cruz admits it. Cruz and Rubio are actual Christians, see, which means they understand that human beings are fallible and make mistakes, and that admitting your mistakes is part of what makes you a quality person.
Donald Trump also has an infallible god, and his name is Donald Trump, and all who follow him must accept this truth. Watch Trump spokesman Corey Lewandowski flat out lie and say that Trump never said that he needed to "get a little establishment." Credit for finding this video goes to the Right Scoop.
Berman: It's just, do you agree with Donald Trump that you need to be a little bit establishment?
Lewandowski: He didn't say we need to be a little bit establishment..
Berman: He did!
Lewandowski: What he said is you need to put people in a room to get things done. What we need to do is to fix anything, people are so..
Berman: (checking notes) Isn't that what he literally said?

Truly, the consistent cop-out behavior of so many Trump First folks here provides ever-mounting evidence that Trump is a very bad risk for American liberty and conservatism. That said, Trump's own history that ANYONE, including you, Iceman, can bone-up on, is evidence enough that Trump is a very bad risk for American liberty and conservatism.
Trump's best friends are anger, desire for vengeance, ignorance, and MSM television.
Vote for a guy with friends like that at your own risk, Iceman. I voted dumb like you for more than 30 years. These days, I vote SMARTER. How about you join me?
Did he, or did he not say it?
“âTrump:âI could stand in the middle of 5th avenue and shoot people and I wouldnââ¬â¢t lose voters.ââ
Some idiots are taking that literally, when itâs actually hyperbole intended as humor. Why are they doing that? Because theyâre desperately looking for some way to bring him down.”
I don’t take the remark literal and I speak only for myself, not the other “idiots”. I take it as hyperbole but not Presidential by a braggadocios, bombastic, buffoon.
Trump didn’t
Lie, he candidly states that he did want to become a little establishment, his spokesperson apparently did.
Unfortunately, it’s politics and will only get worse as D-Day gets closer. The next debate will probably be a real slug fest. If the polls continue to show Trump moving away, he may be more focused on the moderators, however, if it is still close or Cruz is gaining, bar the door. Trump has already framed the narrative with a shot over the bow about Megyn Kelly.
When you can’t attack the message, CHANGE THE SUBJECT! Typical deluded Trump advocate.
They take everthing he says, twist it, take it out of context, and mush it up.
Then Redstate breathlessly runs to their puter to get it out there.
LOL
Their breathtaking ability to excuse all donald goes on. So glad they are in the minority.

Care to explain Cruz’s:
1) Support for H1B Visas
2) Joining Glenn Beck on the Southern Border to pass out soccer balls and teddy bears to ILLEGALS
3) Joining RINO Paul Ryan to pass TPA
Waiting for your breathtaking excuses for Ted Cruz, a sitting U.S. Senator.
So first trump is against the establishment, now he’s for it, then he’s against it again. No, he didn’t change his position again.
Did he, or did he not, say it?
I agree. This time around the only thing that has a chance of keeping the Republican nominee from getting elected are people claiming to be on our side. And the stakes have never been as high.
If the end result is within a few points the Democrats will be able to skew the results by cheating. Ted Cruz might be able to pull it off. Unfortunately I think that it would be close and that could easily mean defeat.
There was another thread here this morning with the headline saying that a poll showed that questions about his eligibility were not making much of a difference. The internals however said that 27% of the respondents didn’t think he was a natural born citizen. If that many people didn’t think that Obama was “natural born” he would not have won either election. It is a problem less of legality than perception.
What I'm reading. He needs to work with the GOP (establishment) to get things done. Well duh!
"I think they're warming up. I want to be honest, I have received so many phone calls from people that you would call establishment, from people -- generally speaking ... conservatives, Republicans -- that want to come onto our team,"
Trump told reporters in Las Vegas before an appearance at the Outdoor Sportsman Awards...
At an earlier rally, Trump painted himself as a pragmatic dealmaker capable of working with lawmakers, in contrast with Cruz, his top rival in the Feb. 1 Iowa caucuses...
"You know what? There's a point at which: Let's get to be a little establishment," Trump told the crowd at the South Point resort and casino. "We've got to get things done folks, OK? Believe me, don't worry. We're going to make such great deals."
I can accept rejecting Mr. wolf’s spin, but you cannot deny the reality of the the video segment.
You hope.

Don’t accept the birther crap.
Absolutely correct. Trump affords ample opportunity to cherry pick some easily twisted nugget. The usual suspects working themselves into a lather over nothing works to Trumps advantage every time.
Telling all that this election cycle I’m going to vote for REAL change; NO attorneys, NO Harvard grads......
It goes both ways. Few Cruz supporters will admit that Ted makes any mistakes.
You should know by now that with the constant bashing of Trump that people are not really open anymore to the dirt.
Defend RedState all you want.
