Trump, in 2013, endorsed communist Bill De Blasio for New York City mayor. He supports Obama’s opening up to communist Cuba. He loves Putin. He, in his mid-50s, supported gays in the military AND partial birth abortion.

_____________________________________

And TRUMP did these as a private citizen.

Here are a few things Cruz did as a sitting U.S. Senator:

1) Worked with RINO Paul Ryan to pass TPA

2) Supports H1B Visas

3) Went to the Southern Border with Glenn Beck to pass out Soccer Balls and Teddy Bears to ILLEGALS

Interesting you Cruz supporters never like to deal with these issues.

Since you asked, here's one...

Or is Sept 2015 not recent enough for you?

Trump backs U.S.-Cuba diplomatic relations By Jeremy Diamond, CNN

Sept 8, 2015

Washington (CNN) - Breaking ranks with nearly all of his fellow 2016 Republican contenders, Donald Trump says he supports President Barack Obama's decision to reengage diplomatically with Cuba.

"50 years is enough," Trump said in an interview with the Daily Caller published Tuesday, referring to Obama's decision to re-establish U.S. ties with Cuba.

"I think it's fine. I think it's fine, but we should have made a better deal," Trump added. "The concept of opening with Cuba is fine."

that’s the tricky part about elections. trying to read someone’s mind before they’re in office!!

and change can work the other way too. a moral man can become immoral when in office.

kind of scary.

He was part of a teddy bear welcome party for illegales as they came in from Mexico?

I wouldn’t have minded as long as they had been sendoff gifts. For them heading back south.

There are a lot more clay feet around here than we would think. We need to look for how God can do something constructive with clay footed persons.

Truth is irrelevant to the leftover obamabots who lurk around. They are trumpeteers now. Are they bought n paid for.. or bored basement occupiers? Trump... the by Democrat who can win.. bought to you by the uniparty.

You are wasting your time. The Trump mania has reached the point where it is a borderline cult with the true believers being utterly impervious to reason.

I am not a “Trumpy”, but what have the consistent conservative campaigners done for us in the past decade or two? Many GOP candidates talk a great game, but their actual voting record and performance in office is anything but conservative.

I am not sure how much stock I put in the past.

With that said, I think Trump overstates things by a factor of 2 - it’s a common (and recommended by him) negotiation strategy. Decide what you want and ask for twice as much knowing your goal all along is half of that. Perhaps that is what we would get with President Trump?

The other issue I see with Trump and Cruz is that any “conservative reform” will require a majority of congress to agree. They can say anything we want to hear, but the genuine effort to change government will require someone who can work with others to make it happen. Like it or not, that is how our system works. As someone who started with Cruz it was and has been my biggest concern about him because his record of accomplishment is minuscule compared to his rhetoric that I like.

Just my .02, but unfortunately most rational conversation about candidates around here has pretty much passed us by in the election cycle. That is the world we live in now, but at the end of the day each of us has to make up our own mind.

I have kind of become stuck on the fence. There are things I don’t like about Trump, but his record of achievement (albeit in business) is very impressive to me. I really like many of the things that Cruz says, but his record of achievement in Washington D.C. is small except he pokes the enemy in the eye with panache.

This is the condensed argument I have come down to - both of them are talking a good game, but who can best bring about reform?

I tend to be optimistic about God especially when it seems that public call for His presence has been on the upswing. And I believe it has. They say Obama is a great gun salesman. Well he’s also a great encouragement to prayer, in the same sense! God is always who God is. He is always merciful and always hears sincere prayers from those who want His presence.

There’s more name calling and evil suspicions and baseless aspersion going on here than... well, I don’t know where. Probably not more than in hell, but I think we’re soon going to give hell some stiff competition.

I have a feeling it’s going to keep on like that for a while longer.

I don’t hate either one of them, but some of their supporters are certainly obnoxious, and in my opinion, most of those, although not all, are Cruz supporters.

We have this aggravating way of ranking truths and influences. Some can overshadow others. And the way they can (and do) is documented in the bible. This is the manual I go to for my arguments here.

New anti-Trump super PAC launches in Iowa

The super PAC was founded by Katie Packer, the deputy campaign manager on Mitt Romney’s 2012 presidential campaign, Politico reported Thursday.

Maybe it is true that Cruz is better at scolding than he is at convincing.

Trump has some of the same issues, but at least he doesn’t cloak it in obviously Christianesque garb. And with at least some kind of method of making deals, he might prove more effective with Congress. They know he’s a hyperbole machine, they can dance the Kabuki dance along with him for the sake of shallow public politics, then converge on some kind of sane answer.

FR is an ideological world heavily affected with confirmation bias. The hardcore ideologue is obsessed with ideological purity.

Reality dictates that our form of government does not work from that perspective because there are many ideologies in play. The best we can hope for is someone who will steer one way or another. Anyone who thinks electing a true conservative will make for a true conservative government does not understand how D.C. works. Our nation’s incremental movement to the left and big government involves far more than who occupies the White House.

While we all wish for immediate change, it won’t happen. We need someone to steer back towards the right in a convincing and effective manner. If we elect the best ideologue but he/she can’t move D.C. not much will change. That is the question that history will judge the candidates by - not all of the sniping, past statements and pictures, and bickering we see on the news today.

This has become my worry with Cruz. So I question if Cruz can move anything even though I like what he says better. I expect half of what Trump says he will do. All I can do is watch (my state primary is pointless - it will be settled) and hope for the best. Threads like this and drive-by flames to one candidate or another won’t mean much for the America we leave for my children and grandchildren.
