If you haven't yet heard, former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin recently endorsed Donald J. Trump for president.
It was shocking to many, since Palin was seen as a Tea Party type of candidate throughout her career. Meaning, why didn't she endorse the staunchest conservative in the race, which is clearly Ted Cruz?
Check out how the Reuters poll has shifted since Palin gave Trump the thumbs up.
Cruz down 6, Trump up 6.
That's a huge swing in just a few days time.
The biggest question however, is how in the world is former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush still in the top five in any poll nationwide?
How many people do you know say they're supporting Bush over Trump or Cruz?

it’s a long story. not all of it pretty, imho.
Do you know why Palin couldn’t finish her term? Alaskan law stipulated that elected officials could be sued and that they had to provide for their own defense out of their pocket. If I remember correctly, Palin had 300 suits filed against her by democrat activists. She won everyone but was going broke defending herself. Thus one could say she was forced out of office by democrats that could see Canada from their porch.
It’s been a perfect storm of:
1. A poor showing for Cruz at the debate. (Dead cat bounce.)
2. Cruz’s glib response on NCB issue.
3. Cruz passing off Goldman Sucks loan as personal loan revealed, along with 10 million plus in NY cash.
4. Beck endorsement. The seal of quality.
5. Palin.
Simple, Sarah’s endorsement caused a 6 point rise for Trump and Beck’s endorsement caused a 6 point loss for Cruz.
i know about that. it’s a shame. yet i believe it would have been quite easy to get enough funds from the republican wealthy to keep fighting if she really wanted to.
she still quit.

That was the problem. Republicans trashed her relentlessy, sometimes even worse than the democrats.
Because of constant lawsuits being filed by Democrats. Alaskan state government does not reimburse the governor for legal expenses or something along those lines. The result was that it was impossible to continue.
That said, Palin did annihilate the establishment in Alaska before she left office.
If you admire Trump's campaign, you should admire the Democrats' treatment of Palin. I know Trump admires Obama's tactics.
You are correct, Palin was a victim of Lawfare, all those hundreds of agitators that sued her were immune to any risk of consequences when they lost the lawsuits, and every one of them did. It’s the Law, doncha know.
