The latest Zogby poll of national GOP voters shows Donald J Trump with a commanding lead of 45% a full 32 points higher than second place Ted Cruz. Additionally an Arizona poll shows Donald Trump at 38% 22 points ahead – LINK –

(Via Zogby Analytics) […] Mr. Trump polls over 40% among men (49%) and women (41%), as well as Republicans (47%) and independents (49%), conservatives (46%) and moderates (45%). Mr. Cruz scores double digits among men (10%), women (16%), Republicans (15%), independents (10%), and conservative (15%).

We tested a series of three-way races and found Mr. Trump trouncing all of his rivals — 53% to 20% for Mr. Cruz, and 11% for Mr. Rubio; 57% to 23% for Mr. Cruz, and 8% for Mr. Christie; 57% to 23% for Mr. Cruz and 7% for Mr. Kasich; 55% to 25% for Mr. Cruz, and 10% for Mr. Bush.

Whoops, just realized the title is wrong. Should be Three way, not one on one. Three way it increases 53 for Trump, 20 for Cruz, and then Rubio has 11.

Cruz stopped drafting off Trump's popularity, took his best shots at Trump, and withered. He should drop out, using the excuse that his "natural born citizen" status can't be definitively solved for this election.

I often say "don't overestimate the stupidity of the America people". My thought is that people "got it" (it's a rigged game) about politics, but didn't think anything they do could change it, so they didn't bother. Then Trump gave promise that perhaps with the right guy (him) in control, things can be turned around.

Another possible factor? Those "NY values" comments in Iowa? Well, Cruz with all of his intelligence should know you can't just talk to one group of people anymore. Those comments sound a bit racist and very divisive to everyone following the race.

Those are the thoughts I arrived at while asleep. Had to get them typed out. <^..^>

Absolutely amazes me that a country in which not one poll has shown Obama care was popular with the American public since before or after it was implemented,now is going to vote for a candidate who Sunday on 60 minutes said he is going to replace it with 100% government run healthcare,paid for by taxpayers,you will then be asking Chelsea Clinton ,Harry Reid,Chuck Schummer if you can go to the doctor And get any treatment,boggles the mind,this is exactly what Obama wanted all the time and Trump is going to give it to him.

I am not a fan of National Review or Eric Erikson of Red State, but there are others that have come out against Trump such as Brent Bozzell, he was on Fox last night.

So just wondered why this is NOT on front page of FR? I guess the same reason FR bumped 2 polls that came out yesterday that were not bad For Cruz?

2 polls came out yesterday in Iowa, one had Cruz up by 2, and the other had Trump only up by 1, both were bumped from the front page only because other polls bad for Cruz came out only couple hours later.

Leads me to believe that FR is in the tank for Trump. Why were the other 2 polls more favorable to Cruz that also came out only yesterday, bumped from the front page?

How do we know that they are not more accurate, why are they dismissed?

I had said last week that it appeared to me that the majority here were for Trump, I was corrected by a couple that no I was mistaken and there is a edge for Cruz

Whatever can only assume the powers that be here are for Trump over Cruz, or else why are the favorable polls for Cruz bumped off front page

one has to look hard to find them now, only hours before the bad Cruz polls...btw I believe the polls that have Trump up outside of the margin of error are all being pushed by the MSM, only question is will the people of Iowa be affected by the phony polls

I brought this to attention of a mod last night just asking the question why were the Cruz 2 favorable polls from yesterday bumped off front page, I thought was a fair question, only hours separated them.

John King at CNN cautioned people to take cnn poll with a grain of salt because of the turn out methodology they used, plus added that they also asked People that only voted 4 years in Iowa and that also had Cruz up by 2.

ALSO Cruz does better in larger samples, the CNN poll that has Trump up by 10 whatever they only ask 266 I believe

BTW FR has the right to be for Trump over Cruz if they want

The arithmetic that helped Bill Clinton and Obama, and which George W. Bush overcame only narrowly, will apply in a Trump vs. Hillary Clinton race. Black voters won't come out in the numbers they did for Obama. Trump's swagger and attitude may cause a minority of them to vote for him. While the Anglo-Protestant blue collar voters of the South and lower Midwest are essentially lost to the Democrats, the white Catholic working class of the Northeast and upper Midwest have not strayed too far from the Democrat plantation since the days of Reagan. This group, which has suffered due to the de-industrialization of the country, may go for the protectionist Trump, vs. free traders, which dominate both the RINO and conservative factions. Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Illinois, and possibly even New Jersey, are in play for Trump. I don't see Millennials getting excited about Hillary Clinton the way they did for Obama. Plus, Millenials, like the Baby Boomer and the World War II generations before them, may move rightward as they get older. Liberal joy and conservative despair over Millenials may both be misplaced.

Then there is the 800 pound gorilla in the room that few talk about: Democrat voter fraud, a problem since the 19th Century. Who has the financial means and courage to effectively prevent this? Trump.

I am not a supporter of Trump. Rather, I support Cruz. However, the New York real estate magnate may be the hammer that breaks the 1992-2012 political template.
