Thanks McGruff. Interesting.

This may ‘give permission’ to folks who were considering a drift to Trump.

I wonder if Cruz’s team saw this trend coming.

Notice how quiet Trump is about the dynamics in Iowa.

Cruz and his supporters have been talking up Iowa from the get-go, and I thought that was a mistake, even if it does fire up the base.

“It’s okay. Even if Cruz loses he will have a place. I would dearly love to see Ted Cruz as a Supreme Court Justice.”

Yes, he can take over Ruth Buzzy’s seat. She has one foot on a banana peel and they other in her casket! Say good bye to the ACLU at the SCOTUS!

“This is going to be one interesting primary season. Surely they can’t have a radical socialist as their nominee.”

Yeah, time for a “Torricelli/Lautenberg switchout!” Just wonder if the SCOTUS is as corrupt as the NJSC was? But any way you look at it, time is not on the RAT’s side here. Once the Primarys start, a replacement would have to come via a RAT convention slight of hand.

I heard that Debbie Waterbrain Schultz has reached out to CNN to get another debate for Hillary. Its already been approved and a done deal. They must be panicked.

The political class simply has no idea what is happening.

They've been completely detached from Middle America for decades. No clue. Nor did any of them give a damn about Middle America. They've proved that a thousand times.

It will come down to the ground game in Iowa, as it always does—the ability of the candidate’s organization to get folks out to the caucus locations. As more than a few pundits have observed, 30,000 votes can win the Hawkeye Caucuses.

From what I’ve heard, Cruz is far better organized at the county level than Trump. The Donald believes the enthusiasm displayed at his rallies will translate into supporters getting out to caucus locations, largely on their own—and it may work.

On the other hand, some of those supporting Trump may decide to stay home on a cold, snowy night in Iowa. I may be completely wrong, but I think Cruz has a better organization to turn out his voters, and that’s how you win in Iowa. We shall see.

1972 was nothing compared to 1968. Now 1968 was really a mess, what with LBJ deciding not to run, HHH, the Vietnam war protests, JFK and MLK assassinated, the Hippies in Chicago rioting and Mayor Daley ordering the cops to give them “vigorous” wood shampoos (snicker), Eugene McCarthy the “Pre”-McGovern, Pat Paulsen making his first attempt, Nixon’s Silent Majority and the so-called Southern Strategy and just a bunch of freaks and crazies that year.

Maybe they can have it at a federal prison.

Cruz has a great ground game, but so did Howard Dean.

The big unknown is the Trump ground game, if they don’t turn out the vote Trump is dead, and I mean that. if Trump doesn’t get out the vote in Iowa, and at least place a decent 2nd place, he should pack up his bags and end his campaign then and there.

IF he does bring out the vote... Then this could be a rock and roll primary.

For all of the Trump fanboys, he is NOT a Conservative. He is playing people like a fiddle.

His favorite book is the Bible? Give me a break.

My guess is Trump is headed to the nomination, and a lot of people are going to be disappointed by a Trump presidency. We may all need that excess ethanol.

It is uncharacteristic of Trump to let someone outdo him on anything. I will not be surprised if we see a fleet of limos and helicopters taking people to vote.

Okay, I’ll be fair to the Cruzers - I think this poll is an outlier, and probably not real.

I’m not a Cruzer, but I don’t think this poll is an outlier. There are other Iowa polls out today that show a 10-11 point lead for Trump.

Medved is off his rocker crawling to the wishing well. He’s fantasizing that Cruz takes the SEC except Trump is destroying everyone including Cruz is in the SEC. Like in these states GA, AL, TX, SC, FL, MO... et cetera.

You’re right. That so many people are members of the Trump cult of personality is bewildering.
