Trump’s liberal credentials are showing.
Two weeks is a long time in politics. The more people learn about Trump’s willingness to tell people what they want to hear is very telling. Once he gets your vote, well then, screw you; just like has done with every relationship in his life if that person disagrees with him, or get in the way of what he wants.
Personality wise, he is no different than Obama.
Cruz has his own checkered past with immigration so I’m not sure he wants to go down that road...
I mean at least there aren’t photos of Trump unloading supplies to illegals on the border.
However, since June 16, 2015, he has spoken directly to millions of people at his rallies across the entire country, national TV during debates, national TV news shows repeatedly on how he will build the wall and stop the illegal immigration. He also is the ONLY one of the R candidates to suggest a temporary ban on Muslim immigration...
Um, no Teddy. You have your facts wrong...again. Trump slammed illegal immigration and called for a border wall, deportations and mandatory E-Verify in his 2010 book "Time to Get Tough." Here is the intro to that large chapter on the subject. I suggest you read it, Teddy boy...
Where was Cruz in immigration in 2010? Nowhere...except agreeing with La Raza that illegal aliens are just "trying to make a better life for their families" or so Teddy told G.W. Bush in this memo.
Cruz is in such a panic now that he is throwing sheite at the walls to see if anything will stick.
I think Trump was just calling it as he saw it. When Trump first said he'd build a wall to secure the border, all the pundits on both sides said that would be the end of him. The same when he called for a moratorium on Muslim immigration.
As to the title of the thread that Trump "suddenly discovered illegal immigration was a problem," I don't care when someone finally figured it out - I just want someone to take care of it.
Exactly. How about all the people - from both sides - who have said if Trump hadn't brought the subject ahead no one would have even talked about it. If Cruz, as he wants people to think he is against amnesty, then why hasn't he been a leader and stepped up, and made a strong, effective case to the American people.
Trump in 2015/16 promises to seal the border, deport immigrants. He is not yet proven to be a liar. He has not lied in a campaign promise yet, while the Repubs in 2014 and before lied every election and fulfilled NONE of their promises (repeal Obamacare, yadayada)
Anyone who believes Cruz/US Chamber of Commerce/Donors/GOPe will seal the border is like the abused wife that believes the abusive husband won't beat her again.
You know what? Cruz could have opened his campaign on the very same issues as Trump and Trump would have already faded away but he didn’t. Ask yourself why he didn’t since he now is trying to out Trump, Trump on those issues. What is the evidence that he knew how deeply trouble the people were about uncontrolled immigration?
