Genetic Gap Widens Between Humans and Chimps
by Jeffrey P. Tomkins, Ph.D. *
Increasingly, orphan genes defy evolution and support the Genesis account of creation. These genes are unique sets of coding sequences specific to particular creatures. This is a big problem for evolutionary ideas to explain. In a recent research report, scientists describe a new set of 1,307 orphan genes that are completely different between humans and chimpanzees.1

Given the recent voting patterns, I'd have expected the Genetic Gap was 'tightening'.

Genetic Gap Widens Between Humans and Chimps Sounds very unfair.
What can we do about it? fund a MGTP... Massive Genetic Transfer Program?

Heck, given recent voting patterns, and the recent Muslim policies of Washington and Europe, I’d say the gap is widening. Yep. Apes are getting smarter.

Orphan genes, as the name implies, are found in no other type of creature and therefore have no evolutionary history. This finding is another key prediction of the creation model.

The creation model? Genesis 1?
Totally silent on orphan genes.

LOL!
I did not consider that. I thought we were in the lead - but now that you mention it ... maybe not.

LOL Welll, you sure can’t tell it lately. I’m using ‘chimpout’ more than ever- & it’s not in reference to my dogs. My dogs are even acting better than some people.

Or perhaps a MGRP - Massive Genetic Redistribution Program.

Germany has the solution! Import a million jihadis every year, and that gap will tighten in no time flat.
To: fishtank
The genetic gap is not widening, the knowledge of the genomes is increasing
The genetic differences remain constant

They are not “new genes”. They are newly-discovered genes. The gap didn’t widen with the discovery. Knowledge of the gap was revised with the discovery.
The reality was there before the scientists started their study.

No the “creation model” is a hypothesis based on the narrative of Genesis 1, not simply Genesis 1 itself.

Well, in some places it does not for the process actually is reversing.

It kind of defeats the goals of young earth Christianity to add things to the creation account that are not there in the Bible.
What I do find a little funny about the article is the notion of the similar genes that would be expected in different species due to their similar function.
That’s an evolution-based argument oft heard on this forum.
