Sarah Palin, the former Alaska governor and 2008 vice-presidential nominee who became a Tea Party sensation and a favorite of grass-roots conservatives, will endorse Donald J. Trump in Iowa on Tuesday, officials with his campaign confirmed. The endorsement provides Mr. Trump with a potentially significant boost just 13 days before the state's caucuses.

You had to post this TWICE, whilst doubling down on the COMMIE thing and call in the Mod? LOL

I didn't "demand" anything of you; however, after reading your post, I replied as I did, because of what you had posted.

Sadly, you don't understand nor know what a COMMIE was or is.

Calling people who aren't Commies, Commies, is slander.

Gee...you don't even know what an ALINSKY tactic is either.

Is English your mother tongue? If so, I suggest that you get a really good dictionary, such as the Oxford one and study it from cover to cover.

“and call in the Mod”

Are you really that stupid? YOU called in the Mod first and I only responded.

“I didn’t “demand” anything of you”

Apparently you forgot about this comment. Please tell me where the question is in your statement because all I see is a demand with exclamation point!

“Stay home and DON’T post here either !”

“Calling people who aren’t Commies, Commies, is slander. “

You might want to look up the definition of slander because clearly you have NO clue. Besides, if you act like a Commie, talk like a Commie, then you can expect to be called a Commie.

“you don’t even know what an ALINSKY tactic is either.”

HAHAHA...This comment just shows your stupidity. An Alinsky tactic is lying and calling someone else a liar to deflect from your own lie. For instance, YOU calling in the Mod and then blaming me for calling in the Mod even though I was only responding. That is a classic Alinsky tactic.

You might want to stop making yourself look so foolish because so far you’ve proven yourself to be a LIAR, a COMMIE, and a dumba55! Now be a good little liberal and go back to DU!!

You worked your way through school by waitressing and commercial fishing? Very cool.

Oh, there are definitely things she’s done that deserve respect. I don’t disagree with that. And, background-wise, I come from a blue-collar family, and I married into one that is...interesting, lol. It’s basically a redneck family that made good. They’re still not above getting into an argument and shooting a hole in somebody’s ceiling (as my father-in-law’s brother did once, lol).

I just view her as a sellout now, but I didn’t give her much thought before this so it’s not really an issue. I’m sticking with Cruz.

Trump supported liberal crap. He had to to get business done in liberal NYC.

Trump supported the Clintonistas to get business done

Trump basically bought politicians to get business done.

Trump acted in the best interests of his BUSINESS. That is what a businessman does. Do we hate capitalism so much here that we can’t understand that Trump did what he had to do to conduct business?

Looking back on what Trump said and did, he acted in the best interests of his business.

Now Trump wants to become President and act in the best interest of America.

Trump has shown he can work with scum (Clintonistas) and get what he wants.

I have faith that Trump can work with the RINO’s and democRATs and get done what he wants to “Make America Great Again”

Why are people so blinded here to the difference between being a successful businessman to transitioning to become a politician who wants to give back to America?

Yep. Many of the same goofy rationalizations we’re seeing here on FR.

1. We need a master negotiator

[Being a slick negotiator is great, being principled enough to know what you want out of the deal is even better]

2. Not a politician, so as private sector guy, he knows the “main thing,” and can say “fire”

[So do we want to hire someone for a position for which they have no professional experience? Would this work for an engineering or a medical position?]

3. He will secure the borders

[He says so. So it must be true. We hope. But we don’t know.]

4. He’s exposed how the establishment collaborates with the leftists

[But this has been exposed over and over again by many who have come before him. It’s not unique to him. We’ve been wising up for a while now.]

5. The establishment hates him

[Apparently, the establishment now thinks they can control him. They hate Cruz worse because they already tried to control him and failed.]

6. The “conservative establishment” folks think Trump is not a pure enough conservative (yes, that’s really in there)

[This one is just bizarre. There are some “professional” conservatives complaining about his lack of true blue conservatism. But so are a lot of us non-professional, anti-establishment, life long conservatives. It’s horribly misleading to lump us in with George Will and company.]

7. He’s got the guts to talk about the important issues

[He’s talked about the same issues the Tea Party and many other conservatives have been talking about for years. Al Gore didn’t invent the internet and Trump didn’t discover the illegal immigration problem. He just figured out, like Al Gore, how to claim ownership of it.]

8. He’s “new and independent”

[Even though he’s been hanging out with all the worst political hacks for decades. But I’m sure he’s not at all under the influence of George Soros, even though Mr Soros helped him get his Trump Tower brand into Chicago. No, nothing to see there. Independent. Rah. Rah. Rah.]

9. He will bring pro-constitution, common sense solutions to the table

[He will trample both the Constitution and common sense when it suits his purposes to do so. Kelo.]

10. He’s not an elitist, loves the little guy, wants us to succeed

[If I invited Hillary to one of my family events, would she come? No? Maybe saying he’s not elite is just a little hard to swallow]

11. He’s an optimist who knows how to build big things

[So hire him to build big things. But don’t entrust him with the care and protection of the Constitution. That’s bigger than anything he’s ever built, and he isn’t up to the job]

12. He’s generous

[Depends on who you talk to. I’m sure he’s done good things with his money. But some of his creditors may have a different perspective]

13. He has faith in God

[Indeed, doing so well there he needs no forgiveness. I don’t trust people who see themselves as perfect. Only Jesus can claim that accomplishment, and He had to be God to do it.]

14. Prolife

[Except he’s just fine with his pro-abort sister becoming a Supreme Court justice. Nothing abut this man scares me more, and I mean nothing, than his poor grasp of the life issue. He will ruin the Court for two generations, given the chance. I pray to God he does not get that chance.]

15. Pro second amendment

[He seems to be mostly OK on this issue. Except in 2000 he didn’t grasp the “assault weapons ban” problem]

19. He’ll fix the way we treat veterans

[I’ll give him this too]

20. He supports tax reform

[But not radical tax reform. Just tweaking at the edges. The IRS under him will be the same as it was under Obama. That’s a problem]

Sarah’s speech: http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/transcript-palin-endorses-trump-no-pussy-footin-article-1.2502732

So no, overall, too much on the negative side of the ledger. Not buying it.

Peace,

SR

Why are people so blinded here to the difference between being a successful businessman to transitioning to become a politician who wants to give back to America?

Why are people so blinded to the difference between a guy who wants to "give back to America" via government regulation mandating ethanol (and thus creating a false market dictated by environmentalism that must be subsidized, but hey -- it's for America!), and a guy who wants to give the U.S. Constitution back to America?

Everybody wants to "give back to America." Big deal. It's HOW they think to do it. Ted Cruz has and would work toward giving LIIMITED Constitutional government back to America. All Trump promises is to wield government and/or make deals with government to "give back to America."

Been there, done that.

Oh ? He has a five year plan to phase them out. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but 1) Congress has to act to actually do anything about the subsidies and 2) A President is elected to a four year term.

That's just kicking the can down the road.

But, since Ted gives such a good speech job, the people hear what they want to hear, then roll over and go to sleep with a grin on their face.

The Palin endorsement does it for it was a convincing move in my vote for Ted Cruz. No not really Trump is a lying libtard Huckster who has fooled the foolish with big talk about a fence and platitudes like Hope and Change. He sounds and acts just like Obama. But he has many of you neo-Freepers fooled.

You are used to idiots selling their souls for 30 pieces of silver.

Trump will make deals that don’t give away the farm for a few magic beans.

Ted is a good person, he just doesn’t have the people skills to negotiate to get done what needs to be done.

The best position for Ted is actually Supreme Court Justice. Ted’s legal mind could best be put to use there.

Would love to see Trump come out and say that WHEN Trump wins, he would nominate Ted to the Supreme Court

Trump does everything that benefits HIM. Do you honestly think he really cares about the good of the nation or your best interests?

And I'm tired of politicians who “work with” the enemy. That is exactly what Democrats and RINOs are — the enemy of you, me and America. All the things done in the name of “bipartisanship” have cost America in money, security, freedom and at times our souls.

Now you can vote for whoever you like. But I don't trust Trump and will not vote for him.

Windy, did you really just call someone standing on principle "Anti-American"?

Norm, you know I wasn't questioning the poster's patriotism.

What I objected to (and thought was anti-American) was his summary dismissal and rejection of one of this nation's finest people, Sarah Palin - someone who he apparently liked well enough that he was on the Palin ping list.

It's because of who she is, that I considered his dismissal to be "anti-American" - not the poster himself, who, by the way, wasn't standing on any principle at all, far as I could tell. From what I saw, his ire was raised, merely because Sarah endorsed Trump instead of Cruz.

I don't see how torching her in public like that is a principled thing to do.

For the record, I also apologized to the poster in the next breath. I realize that what I said came off a bit harsh. No need for that from me, or anyone else.

The majority on FR prefer Cruz. The minority wants Trump.

The first day's results of Doughty One's FR 2016 Caucus will be tallied and published tonight. We'll see what the real numbers are pretty soon here.

She's giddy over the money, and the attention.

No and yes. It's not the best way for Sarah to make money, but she does love the attention - from Trump!

As usual the majority of conservatives want the most conservative candidate - who can't win. Granted Cruz has a better chance than previous FR favs Gingrich, Santorum, Cain and Thompson (I'd give him 50/50 odds against Clinton), or he would have if Trump hadn't crashed the party.

That's why there's so much hate for Trump. In their minds he's the only thing preventing President Cruz. Neglecting to account for the strong possibility of President Clinton if Cruz, who appeals only to the base, can't win the general.

I agree. I have always felt Palin was brought down here to the lower 48, saw the easy money, and decided to grub for it. All she had to do is make conservative noises and the money poured into her coffers. One would see it on this forum; i.e. express the slightest doubt about “Sarah” and one would be thrust into outer political darkness. She is and was a grifter.

She has her followers to this day and garnered their votes for Trump. Good for him.

Wonder why she snubbed Cruz?

She got bought 0

However, She's been out of the spotlight for a couple of years - I'm thinking she won't capture the adulation she once had....People may be thinking - 'Hmmm - she chose to support McCain too - and run with him - and we got Obama.

Her "window" may have largely closed. Flame away -
