Sarah Palin, the former Alaska governor and 2008 vice-presidential nominee who became a Tea Party sensation and a favorite of grass-roots conservatives, will endorse Donald J. Trump in Iowa on Tuesday, officials with his campaign confirmed. The endorsement provides Mr. Trump with a potentially significant boost just 13 days before the state's caucuses.

Not to mention saddle this country with the result of setting the precedent.

You are absolutely correct. This country has been dragged so far to the left that we can't make it all the way back in one election cycle. Trump at least gets us back to the point that a real truecon *coughTedCruzcough* gan take over and finish the job.
And I wouldn't be against such a thing.
For whatever reason, I really haven't found it necessary to takes sides when it comes to Cruz or Trump. They each have positives that I could support, and they both have negatives I can overlook. We aren't in a position to find the perfect candidate for 2016. We are almost in a state of emergency, and this is triage. Let's stop the bleeding, and then fix the underlying problem. And if the Republican establishment is part of the problem, it will need to be addressed.
Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country.
Every conservative, especially us broken glass types, need to come together and recruit a long time no-nonsense tough, polished Navy Seal / Special Forces officer how has impeccable record, integrity, intelligence, conservative values,speaking skill and commanding presence to wipe the floor with these equivocating pandering political candidates.
Speak plainly, speak dire fact, point out graphic truths on economic, military threats we face. Use pictures.
America is a nation of spoiled distracted children who may actually want to listen to a very strong male leader who helps them understand boundaries and priorities.
Let’s do this.

One of Trump’s main constituencies seems to be the submissive type of woman who is looking for an “alpha male” to protect and support her. That’s why his positions don’t matter to his base. They are voting on personality and on primal kinds of instincts. He is the strongman. So these are like the people who would’ve cheered on Johnny and the Kobra Kai over Daniel in the Karate Kid or the type of people who would have championed Goliath over David.
