After he left Wall Street to enter politics eight years ago, Representative Jim Himes, Democrat of Connecticut, began fielding the occasional question of when he intended to run for president.
"It has come up in jest any number of times," said Mr. Himes, who always has his answer ready. "There could be constitutional questions."
Mr. Himes, you see, was born in Peru in 1966 while his father worked for the Ford Foundation. That makes him one of at least 17 current members of Congress who, because of their birth outside the United States, could run afoul of the Constitution's "natural born citizen" presidential requirement should they try to relocate down Pennsylvania Avenue.
...
But a resolution is no easy task.
A constitutional amendment could be the most certain route.

Why sure. Now that your ignorant Bastard is almost out of office, now is the time to finally get to the bottom of this topic.
If you can't explain how the word "natural" got in there, you aren't explaining anything.
I guess it wasn’t time when Obama was running eh NY Slime?
Where was this wrap that I wouldn't even use for my Friday night perch at when the Messiah was running?
What Constitution? Do we have one?
Look to Washington status for the solution. The requirement was custom made.
Just go back to the source documents that Justia removed.
Thanks for that. I was so incensed by this hypocritical screed that I emailed this DNC tool directly.
Those who questioned Obama were racists. They were delusional. They were right-wing, black helicopter types.
Now that Obama is of no political value, and they can try and take down a Republican, suddenly, yeah, we should look into this. No further proof is necessary that the NYTimes is the house organ for the DNC.
Didn’t we have this discussion just a few hour ago?

I could never understand how no one in the United States had standing to sue regarding Obama and the question of NBC. I remember when the electors were tabulated there was a cry of “Hold On” or “No” or whatever it was, but other voices drown it out when an objection was being made to certify the results. The gavel was struck and the nightmare began.
Quite frankly, I do not see how some sort of expedited case of a judgement as to a particular candidate being NBC. I suppose the courts could say that it is up to the voters to decide...But the Constitution is quite explicit in naming the requirements. Congress has delineated what constitutes a naturalized citizen and perhaps what may be a NBC, but still the waters are murky.
Cruz might very well be NBC. But I wont take the word of a talk show host, nor professor at a University, nor the Candidate himself. I need a declarative decision by our Supreme Court. I may or may not like the answer, but it is way past time for this to be thrashed out.
I am not trying to start another row of he is, he isn’t thread. I am not trying to be a concern troll. I just want an answer and no one here on FR has the constitutional authority to give an answer as definitive as a Supreme Court decision.

If Cruz is found not qualified O s BC will appear from where he hid it and he , Hikkary , nancy P and other will be charged with fraud or treason the entire D party will be destroyed.
Do you think TC would lay his political career on the line to save the constitution ? I do
This is not an issue anywhere but the minds of the screw-loose crew around our major networks...
Bloodless coup
