Trump has never made a hard choice in his life. He has done nothing but business, and knows how to smooze people to get what he wants. This country is at a point where the decisions we make will sink us if not the right decision. I have not heard DT make the case for following the constitution. If fact, he never mentions the constitution. Always be mindful of who will support the constitution, and not just rhetoric.

A person can NOT under any circumstances become a Christian until they are first aware that they are a sinner, and until they thank Jesus for dying on the cross for their sins, there is no other way. ZERO other ways

Nobody can be a Christian until they admit that they are a sinner, and thank Jesus for dying and bleeding on the cross personally for their sins.

I did this , I know the date I did this initially, the day Jesus came into my life, I prayed Jesus forgive me for my sins, come into my life save me, I love you Jesus, thank You for dying for me, save me fill me with Your Holy Spirit, I remember the words and what followed. I was alone in a room, He Jesus came in

Yes; I'm aware of the "Roman Road" and the Plan of Salvation. I was saved in October 1958 in my dad's church, and he baptized me a few weeks later.

The point is that being born again isn't a requirement for President. Apparently, for you that is a requirement, and that's perfectly fine. But it isn't an ACTUAL requirement.

IIRC, Jimmy Carter professed to being saved and having a personal relationship with Christ. Considering his background, I don't doubt that he accepted Christ at some point in his early life. But what he did to America was unforgivable! Do we really want to use that as a litmus test? Would another (saved) Jimmy Carter be better for America than a (perhaps un-saved) Donald Trump?

I expect that DT has heard the Gospel at some point in his life. With that information in his head, the Holy Spirit can work in his life and change his heart and I pray that happens. We pray for all of the candidates in our devotions every night.

RE> Cruz only has support because he’s got a death grip on Trump’s coattails. The dirty little secret is, Cruz could not have risen above establishment candidates on his own. Anyone who knows today’s media-driven political landscape knows that.

If I may briefly expand on your point with something that keeps percolating to the top of my mind and is something that many seem to need reminding of.

Since this race got started, the establishment AND so-called alternative media game has propelled many of the R candidates out of the noise toward the top, starting with Jeb!. Their efforts to derail whomever is the front GOP runner is as transparent as always. If Trump never got into this race, I have no reasonable doubt that Jeb! would be the current front runner and I would have absolutely NO hope of beating the next Dem, likely to be Hilairy, but is skirting dangerously close to selecting socialist Sanders.

If not for Trump this would certainly be a repeat of the previous two pathetic election cycles for the GOP. If Trump had ran Indy, it likely might also have been a total disaster in the end. I am grateful that Trump has turned this cycle on it’s head and is flushing out (as in exposing) the GOP establishment with all he has from the inside.

I would think that is one result so far that all Freepers would be grateful for.

Our enemy is and has been the establishment GOP and media, not Trump or Cruz.

Exactly. We need to pull together and beat them.

I really want to know... are Cruz supporters not welcome to comment on Trump threads?

First off, I'm not the owner of FR, so I can't stop anyone from anything. I was referring to the Trump Live Threads, ALTURA. Up until recently, the Cruzers pretty much left those alone. As I'm sure you are aware, the vitriol on both sides has been over the top lately. I saw you post a similar comment yesterday on a thread complaining about the acrimony to another Cruzer. However, the day before (Saturday) you were deep in the mudslinging yourself. So, don't play the holier than thou attitude with me.

You personally, I would not call a troll. I see your posts on the Sunday thread. But, there are a few on here who seem to come out from under their rocks every 2 or 4 years. Look at their posting history. Most of the nasty threads are started by the Cruzers and then the $hit starts flying.

I was for Cruz before I was for Trump. I don't like the current situation between them. It does neither candidate any good. I have no problem voting for Cruz if he is the nominee and I think most Trumpbots would. Unlike your side, it's either Cruz or nothing. I switched because in the general election, I don't think Cruz would survive the Clinton/DNC/MSM meat grinder. I hope I'm wrong.

From what I've heard, a group of Cruzbots went to JimRob and asked him to ban the Trump LIVE threads. If that's true, they are no better than the trash over at DU. I guess you are ok with that though.

Of course I’m not okay with banning Trump threads.

I understand now that there is an understanding that they are for Trump supporters and dissenters are not welcome, which is fine with me.

I will not go on a thread again which is strictly a live thread about a Trump event.

I can be mean as a snake but now that I know you’re watching every move I make I’ll try to be a better girl.

As for voting for Trump if he gets the nomination, of course I will.

I came hoping that someone would post the content of Trump's remarks so I could see if he was still into the vicious bashing of Cruz. But nobody mentioned the contents at all so it was a wasted thing and I will not jump on any Trump appearance threads again.

There are a couple of reasons for that. First, many of the Trump fans who eagerly populate the Live Threads have seen many of his past speeches, and while he does alter them in various ways, the main points are things we've heard before. And secondly, as noted above, when the trolling and Trump bashing starts, people get sidetracked by refuting the obvious distortions and soon the thread is highjacked into squabbling. Somehow, we've all got to focus on how important it is to be willing to vote for any -- ANY -- gop candidate against Bernie or Hillary. We are certainly not going to change each others' minds by sniping and name-calling.

I am sorry you had an unsatisfactory experience today; but I hope you will come back and try again some time.

And I hope both the Cruz side and the Trump side will stick with debating the merits of policy and stop trying to take digs at the other candidates and especially at their supporters on FR. We are supposed to be trying to help each others' understanding of the underlying principles of constitutional conservatism, not judging and condemning one another. It's the radical progressives, islamists and illegals who are the biggest immediate challenge, not the centrists. None of them want anything whatsoever to do with republicanism or rule-of-law democracy. And the Uniparty is in grave denial about that.

I have read that Scorpios are a good love match for me (have to watch their tail sting though ;-) I dated a few Scorpion guys some years ago and they were good relationships.

I was much more stubborn when I was younger - I’ve somewhat mellowed with age (just like a fine wine :-) There are only a few things I might get stubborn and push back about these days - usually it’s something of a matter of principle that I feel fairly strong about. I’m always open to listening to the other side and sometimes it just boils down to the other person and I having to agree to disagree.

Sorry, you are simply one of the blind dupes that George Washington warned us about. And what about those Marine barracks in Beirut, how about the USS Liberty bombing in 1967? Do you really know what happened in either of those instances? I highly suspect you do not.

Yes, I am quite aware of the fact USMC barracks sentries had useless weapons due to the ROE disallowing them to lock and load their magazines into their respective receivers, NOR did they have ANY anti-armor weapons like an AT-4 at the ready, therefore- they were unable to stop a bomb laden truck, (estimated weight of the explosives in the 2,000 lb. range) from racing into their building. The revetments or perimeter barriers were inadequate to stop a charging vehicle as well.

Seeing how I postulated that you might supplant Josh Earnest as a worthy replacement, I'll accept your retort that I am, as General or President George Washington referred to: (as) a blind dupe, although I doubt dupe was vernacular commonly used in the time period you reference, but I get the drift.

The 9 years, 11 months and 29 days, that I served in Uncle Sam's ragtime band, and more influentially- the 40 additional months I vacationed in Afghanistan and Iraq, wearing the private citizen hat of a US Army DOD contractor, has given me a few significant insights into the tactics of the Shiite AND Sunni murderers, and the ROE constraints put on our military serving downrange, which is gross negligence bordering on treason.

I was around 10 years old in 1967, so the USS Liberty bombing will require me to conduct a bit of research.

In closing, here's my take on Trump's rise.

Voters chose obama because of the color- black.

Voters are choosing Trump because of the colors- red, white and blue.

From another freeper- ))) Trump towers (((

Well, you would be utterly wrong and since you assume, rather than research as a matter of fact, that is all you have, assumptions, while I HAVE done the research and DO have the facts as they were authored... you are a “dupe” being used to usurp the constitution and the confidence of “we the people”.

http://avalon.law.yale.edu/18th_century/washing.asp

If, in the opinion of the people, the distribution or modification of the constitutional powers be in any particular wrong, let it be corrected by an amendment in the way which the Constitution designates. But let there be no change by usurpation; for though this, in one instance, may be the instrument of good, it is the customary weapon by which free governments are destroyed. The precedent must always greatly overbalance in permanent evil any partial or transient benefit, which the use can at any time yield…

As avenues to foreign influence in innumerable ways, such attachments are particularly alarming to the truly enlightened and independent patriot. How many opportunities do they afford to tamper with domestic factions, to practice the arts of seduction, to mislead public opinion, to influence or awe the public councils. Such an attachment of a small or weak towards a great and powerful nation dooms the former to be the satellite of the latter.

Against the insidious wiles of foreign influence (I conjure you to believe me, fellow-citizens) the jealousy of a free people ought to be constantly awake, since history and experience prove that foreign influence is one of the most baneful foes of republican government…

Real patriots who may resist the intrigues of the favorite are liable to become suspected and odious, while its tools and dupes usurp the applause and confidence of the people, to surrender their interests…
