Two would-be robbers who were fatally shot at a liquor store in the Gresham neighborhood Saturday night have been identified as a 15-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy, authorities said.
Keshawn Marzette, 15, of the 8300 block of South Throop Street, and William Larson, 17, of the same address, were pronounced dead on the scene, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
Autopsies Sunday determined both died of multiple gunshot wounds and their deaths were classified as homicides, the office said.
The two were shot to death by a store employee about 8:30 p.m. when they tried to rob Z&S Food & Liquor in the 1300 block of West 87th Street, sources said.

Everyone who uses a weapon to defend themselves or others should be properly trained.
Part of that training is what to say to police after a self defense incident.
The police are not your friends, and if you don't know what to say, don't say anything without your lawyer's advice. Nothing.
Worse, we have selective enforcement based on who you own or who you are.

Some of us take things too seriously I suppose. It's a sarcastic cliche I threw out there in advance of the libs expected questioning of the lethality of the store owner's succinct and effective defense.
Both perps are dead which I assume took more than two VERY well placed shots. In the days ahead, I expect Chicago to question the level of force that was employed to stop these thugs and defend themselves. It happens every time. "Yea, but did they HAVE to kill them?" You know how it goes. It's a good thing there wasn't a Chicago LEO around to shoot these two. Chicago would be burning by now.

Jeez, I sure hope the bullets didn’t go completely through and damage any of the merchandise. It’d be a damn shame if any black labels were destroyed.

A required legal term whenever a human kills another human.
It does not indicate criminal guilt or innocence.
No, but it does indicate the evils of guns and the need for gun control. Homicide by gun, justifiable or not is included in the “30,000 death by guns” or whatever the number usually quoted is.
Also includes suicides.

It’s a photoshop. I think “robs a store” was inserted in place of whatever it originally said. The “R” in the word “HER” is copied for “robs” and “store”. The “S” in the word “SHOULD” is also copied for the words “robs” and “store”.
I understand the originalist definition of ^homicide^.
Here’s the “rub” and recall, we are in Chicago/Cook County/ Illinois.
What amount of leeway does this provide Rahm Emanuel’s prosecutor, given the ethnicities of everyone involved and his WDC boss’s propensity to *cough* regulate *cough* guns?
Cletus, I don’t know the answer to your question. I hope that the shooter won’t be charged and that no one will care about the ethnic groups.
