Phyllis Schlafly Makes the Case for President Trump: ‘Only Hope to Defeat the Kingmakers’
Breitbart ^ | 1/10/16 | Julia Hahn

Posted on 01/10/2016 8:23:03 PM PST by M. Thatcher

In an exclusive hour-long sit down interview with Breitbart News, 91-year-old conservative icon and living legend Phyllis Schlafly declared that Donald Trump "is the only hope to defeat the Kingmakers," and detailed why she believes Trump alone will return the government to the people. She warned that if immigration is not stopped: "we're not going to be America anymore." Schlafly, born in St. Louis, Missouri in 1924, has been active in politics for more than one-quarter of all American history. She helped launch the conservative movement, create the pro-family agenda, and has led the fight against open borders trade and immigration policies. Thus, Schlafly's proclamation to Breitbart News that front-runner Trump "represents everything the grassroots want" is certain to reverberate across the 2016 electorate.

Well I'm not running for President but I was called a 'crypto-fascist' by some lame troll answering to the screen name 'Oceander'. They didn't seem to think America is at war with our Islamic jihadist enemies, and I called him out on it.

He's been silent now for 6 hours plus. Hates Trump too.

We can expect to see more such wild and unstable behavior between now and November.

Agreed. I worry about the Sheriffs health too. I think a good executive could soften the stress.

She has been a smart lady. Let this be a lesson to all. Too much anger for too long warps the brain. I met her years ago at an event. My overall impression was that she was one angry lady. I overlooked it, but still remember. Oh well. We are all entitled to our opinion.

I know it is late (or early depending on time zone) but in reflecting upon your screen name, I recalled another son of Pennsylvania I knew many years ago who was also an engineer by the name of George (not going to post his last name), we met down at the AT&T microchip fabrication plant in Orlando Florida back when AT&T was marketing their 6300 PC (actually built by Olivetti) but their chip and wafer fabrication was going great guns.

Anyway, having friends in other places around Pennsylvania, George and I got along well, he was about 10 years older than I was, and we used to have a quick lunch in the company cafeteria, not much on nutrition, just whatever we could get. One day, he noticed me eating a package of those notorious cheese crackers with peanut butter spread very thinly, and he said “do you actually like those?” and I said they were ok, and as I looked at the cellophane wrapper, I noticed something I had seen before but hadn’t given much thought to, and so I said to George, “tell me, why do all of these snacks and similar products always have “Approved by Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture”? We’re in Florida!

George gave me a very serious look and said “well different states have different standards for how many particles of dirt or debris or to be honest, rat droppings can be contained inside any given snack packaging.”

I said “so Pennsylvania has the highest standards?”

George said “no, in Pennsylvania they allow you to include the whole rat.”

So for his birthday, our office had the graphics department make up an oil painting of cheese peanut butter crackers with a dead, sealed up rat inside the wrapper, George was mighty amused, and so was everyone else.

She warned that if immigration is not stopped: "we're not going to be America anymore."

Well, that is exactly what the libtards want, but the Europeans are getting a healthy dose of this reality right now.

Trump/Cruz, then when the time comes for a SC appointment, Cruz steps down from VP and Trump appoints new VP, then Cruz goes to the SC.

One can only hope!

However, I’m afraid our dear Mr.Trump and all of us who support him are in for an even more wild ride to the finish.

The anti-Trumps will probably ramp it up.....I know the media will, they feel so threatened.

Phyllis makes a good case. I still support Cruz, but can support Trump if he avoids a RINO running mate for example.

Lots of good arguments for Trump - I'm close to making Cruz my second choice and going all-in for Trump.

Trump is independently wealthy and he doesn’t need the elitist $$$$ to run a campaign or to live his life.

But the Establishment favors people other than Cruz and needs to knock Cruz out of the way to get to Trump.

My $$$$$ in Cruz’s pocket are probably going to for the short term at least protect Trump’s flank.

I support Ted pretty firmly right now.

Just because someone is wealthy doesn't mean they should have to shoulder the whole burden - that's akin to the Left's constant attacks to bring the rich to their knees and give their wealth to the lazy masses.

If one supports Trump, then they should also send some cash his way.

I've been sending Cruz donations monthly since he threw his hat in the ring - am considering making Trump my first choice and diverting some cash to him while still sending some to Cruz.

‘... but can support Trump if he avoids a RINO running mate for example...’

Excellent point not repeated enough right now. We should not be so hard-core as ‘pro-Trump’ that we lose the opportunity for a conservative VP.

We should INSIST on a conservative VP. I would like him to announce one early myself. That would be a source of great comfort.

I hope Cruz makes an issue of it.

I agree that Cruz is more vulnerable to sabotage by the ‘G’ OP establishment not only on funding but also other intrigues.

Not fair in any way, but they are positively romanesque.

Viewing the ‘G’ OP as Brutus and his slithery kind, I think Trump stands a better chance of surviving.

Once this Ruling Class is torn down, that clears a path for Cruz and other patriots who could well advance our nation more effectively in a less corrupt culture.

For example:

Cruz: ‘We Need Quite A Few Constitutional Amendments’
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3381654/posts

That’s the end game. Obama is so much like FDR that according to history constitutional amendments are inevitable.

But with this current crop of congressional leadership? Doubtful anything good would come of amendments. We need to ‘shake’em up’ first.

This is a must watch;

Phyllis Schlafly is amazing. Some great Freeper turned me on to the The Barry Goldwater 1964 Campaign 50th Anniversary Forum. We are watching history repeat itself.

If you have 9 minutes watch from 6:10- 15:39 of this video with Schlafly describing how the establishment of the Republican Party takes out grassroots candidates. This is really timely...
