BURNS--Ammon Bundy and his band of militants appeared ready to settle in for the long haul Saturday when a rifle-toting "security detail" broke the relative lull that had fallen over their weeklong standoff at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge.
The morning began with a notable change in scenery. The ornate sign that used to greet visitors with "Welcome To Your National Wildlife Refuge" now advertised the "Harney County Resource Center" in white block letters over a blue background......
Members of the Pacific Patriots Network, a consortium of groups from Oregon, Washington and Idaho, emerged from their cars and trucks carrying rifles and sidearms and clad in military attire......
Their leader, Brandon Curtiss, said the group came to "de-escalate" the situation by providing security inside and outside the compound......
Within minutes of their arrival, a man who said he was speaking on Bundy's behalf emerged from the occupied refuge headquarters and announced that the visitors had been asked to leave....
Todd MacFarlane, a Utah lawyer who said he was acting as a mediator for Bundy and the local community, told those gathered that Bundy was worried about the perception the group might create.
"We don't need that," MacFarlane told them. "We don't want it and we're asking you to leave."
Soon afterward, Curtiss and company piled into their 15 or so trucks and cars and left the refuge compound.....
He's (Ammon Bundy) said the protestors plan to stay until local rancher Dwight Hammond and his son, Steven, are released from prison and the 187,000-acre refuge is divvied up among area residents to be used for livestock grazing and logging.....
the new sign outside the headquarters seems to indicate the militants are digging in. The sign cones with a fresh moniker for group members, who now call themselves Citizens for Constitutional Freedom.....

The Portlandians will eat this up as it plays to their prejudices pretty well.
There's plenty of details to pick up in the full story that might give you new insight into what's going on out there.
The Pacific Patriots Network group also went to the county courthouse to deliver their 'articles of resolution' to Sheriff Dave Ward AND THEY ALSO WENT TO THE 'FBI COMPOUND' AT THE BURNS MUNICIPAL AIRPORT.
A small group of PPN members wearing sidearms appeared to be a permanent presence this evening, according to this news article.
The reporter writing this story says that it appears the number of people at the refuge has grown beyond the earlier reports of 20 to 25, but its hard to confirm because of all the comings and goings.
Your link doesn’t work.
I’m sorry the link messed up.
This one should work
My post #4 corrects that mistake with good link.

In that video you see the Pacific Patriot Network folks meeting FBI people.
No pleasing some people I suppose?
I am concerned that this situation could be turned into a wild Waco type affair. If it is advantageous for the Obama Regime to paint these patriots as wacko birds, they will. They could be planning how to spin it so it puts all conservatives in the same light. Like has been said before, they don’t let a crisis go to waste.
Problem solved, Obama style.
Great intel on the FBI lair if you ever need to use it.
You saw exactly how they would respond to a front door roll up. Wonder who was minding the back door?
I’m not sure why the Bundy group settled down in a completely indefensible position to wait for a Waco. Utterly vulnerable to a single predator drone. Utterly vulnerable to a well-designed seal-team assault.
Also the Pacific Patriot Network has been activated:

Things at the Alamo started much the same way. San Antonio
, Texas, history seems to be in play.
Traditional America is lining up against the liberal fascists who want to bring hopenchange to Amereica and turn federal land into settlements for illegal immigrants ( Arizona national parks off limits)and muslims,Syrian refugees etc. or so it appears.

Pray America wakes
It’s getting hard to keep track of who doesn’t want who there...
I think the Hammonds said they didn’t want Bundy there (after initially accepting their support).
The FBI clearly doesn’t want Bundy there.
Bundy doesn’t want the FBI there.
Bundy doesn’t want the Pacific Patriot Network there.
Laz doesn’t want any Freepers there.
*confused*
Am on doesn’t want long guns there.
Three of the six leaders of the ‘Harney County Committee of Safety’ formed last week over the federal land encroachment want the group to leave, but three don’t.
One of those who wants Ammon Bundy and the others out is Tim Smith, who wears another hat as Vice-Chairman of the Republican Party in Harney County.
The GOP’s presidential candidates have asked them to leave as well.
When Martin Luther King was leading protests in Albany, GA in 1962 and draw attention to the movement by going to jail, the Kennedy Administration actually sent a Justice Department official anonymously down to ‘defuse tensions’ by deliberately bailing MLK out of jail.
It was a secret for four years until 1966 when President Johnson’s people leaked it out to discredit Bobby Kennedy, who they feared would run against LBJ in 68.
BIG PARTY POLITICAL MACHINES DON’T LIKE MOVEMENTS OF PROTEST ARISING THAT ARE BEYOND THEIR CONTROL. THE FEAR LEVEL OF THE BIG PARTIES IS EVEN GREATER IN THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION YEAR.
JFK didn’t like MLK’s protests and the GOP doesn’t like this protest and the GOP would like to shut it down just like the Dems tried to shut down MLK’s efforts in the early 60’s.
The Bundyites asked the rifle toters to leave & so the rifle toters left.
No story, end of story.
