Migrants who commit crimes should lose their right to asylum, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said on Saturday, toughening her tone as police in Cologne confronted right-wing protesters venting their anger at mass assaults on women on New Year's Eve.
Police in the western city fired water canon to disperse protesters from the anti-Islamic PEGIDA movement, which has seized on the alleged involvement of migrants in the New Year attacks and stepped up its calls for a halt to the influx.
Nearly two dozen asylum seekers were among those suspected of carrying out the attacks, police said this week, heightening tensions over immigration and fuelling criticism of Merkel's refusal to place a limit on the numbers of migrants entering the country.

You don't attract followers to your movement by declaring that you are violent or want to overthrow the government. However, there has been violence.
The European migrant crisis revived the movement, which drew as many as 20,000 supporters to a 19 October 2015 rally in Dresden. At the same time, observers perceived a further radicalization of the crowd.
On 28 September, two journalists were injured, when Pegida participants kicked a local newspaper reporter and punched another TV reporter in the face. On 12 October, Pegida demonstrators carried a mock gallows showing nooses reserved for Chancellor Angela Merkel and her deputy Sigmar Gabriel.
At Pegida's anniversary event on 19 October 2015, keynote speaker Akif Pirinçci named the Muslim refugees as invaders, with Germany as becoming a "Muslim garbage dump." Pirinçci said the German government was acting like "Gauleiter against their own people," as they wanted critics of Germany's refugee policy to leave the country. Addressing the crowd shouting "Resistance!", he claimed that "there were other alternatives – but the concentration camps are unfortunately out of order at the moment." The crowd applauded and laughed, and let him continue his speech for another 20 minutes before calling upon him to finish.
The New Year's eve attacks by Muslims on German women in Cologne and other German cities have raised the temperature even higher. PEGIDA will only increase in size despite being castigated by the MSM and the political elites. The MSM can no longer hide the crime and violence being perpetrated by the migrants.
Unless you have direct contact with the Germans living there, you can't appreciate the growing anger and frustration. And it will only get worse as the effects of this mass migration manifest themselves. It is happening all over Europe no matter how the MSM and the political elites try to hide it.
That was my thought.
If the polizei were honest men, they would have arrested themselves for failure to act.

I haven’t met some “wuss.” I have a friend, very well educated, and the grandson of a member of the White Rose. He’s simply young and has not yet been exposed to the horrors of islam - yet. He’s like many in Germany. Read other papers beyond the Daily Mail.
These peaceful migrants should be given chance after chance to assimilate to German culture.
It's not their fault that they saw a German woman and went a little crazy.
They are used to women knowing their place and covering up all their lady business with burkas.
It may take some time, but eventually the German women will learn to be a bit more tolerant.
It may take a few mass rapes or beheadings, but we HAVE to civilized, here, people.
Let's show the refugees some love and patience.
Until then, we'll assault and arrest anyone who doesn't like the rape culture of our honored guests.
Pepper spray now, my fellow German citizens who object or in any way dislike rapists.
I won't hesitate for a second to bring out some heavy artillary for those evil "right wingers" who just don't have their minds right.

Had Hitler and Tojo minded their own domestic affairs and not gotten involved in foreign wars of conquest, the nations they led would have had millions of men who might have passed masculine virtues to their sons and grandsons. In retrospect, were the long term results of their aggression worth Alsace or Manchuria?

There have been numerous stories lately, mainly from foreign news media, of many "suspicious" fires breaking out at these "refugee" houses.
Your young friend is not representative of the mood in Germany. Crime is increasing and the people fear for their safety. They are also very angry and frustrated. And their government and media try to hide or minimize what is happening. The people see it every day with their own eyes. It is not really about Islam as it is flooding the country with hundreds of thousands of migrants, most of them young men, who do not share German values or culture. And as has been the case of the Turkish guest workers, they will never be assimilated. The costs are also enormous.
What we are seeing now is just the very beginning. The situation will get progressively worse.
Maybe they should molest, rip clothes off and rape the police families if the stand with the invaders. Our enemies are vast. It’s a war of survival. If people won’t get nasty and have a win at all cost attitude. Might as well move to Syria
