For the first time in 68 years, the Republican Party will need more than one ballot to pick its nominee this summer in Cleveland, Karl Rove predicted in his annual list of prognostications.
"Delegates will be fractured-with many legally bound, for at least one ballot, to support the winner of their state or district-and at least two ballots will be required," he wrote in The Wall Street Journal.

Should Donald Trump, the current leader in most statewide and national polling, become the party's pick, Rove predicted that the Democrats would maintain control of the White House for another four years and would also retake control of the Senate. The GOP's overall share of seats in the House would also take a tumble, he added.

If there are two ballots they will both have a Trump majority.
Trump is walking away the leader, nobody is touching him.
It is true that Iowa may be won by Ted Cruz, I love him, but when was the last time the Iowa picked the winner? One state with a tiny population of evangelicals does not a nation wide election make. The majority of people in this country are not evangelicals and they are not rural. New York loves Trump, even many of the liberals.
This election is Trumps to lose.
There is no fool like a fat old fool.
Karl Rove predicts..... There is a non-starter if I ever saw one.
No one but Trump will win the minimum 8 primaries needed to get nominated.
Exactly. Greenberg would not have given Right to Rise $10 million dollars to Right to Rise today unless Rove guaranteed him a brokered convention that will install Jeb as the nominee.
And that’s also why Jeb is loaning money to his own campaign now to stay in until the end now that the convention fix is in. Jeb’s been cut off by his hard money donors, but he’s agreed to spend his own money from now on given Rove’s assurances on the brokered convention.
I pray you are wrong.
If you’re right the area outside that convention hall is going to make Chicago ‘68 look like a Sunday picnic.
Can anyone remember the last time Rove was right?
Hey Yeb, is that a turtle in your pocket...
or are you just SMALL.
I’m not convinced Jeb is out of the game. I remember when McCain was out of the game and flat broke.
True statements aren’t Estab’s strategy now. It’s statements of any kind to sway voters away from Trump.
They are just finishing up rebuilding Cleveland. Please don't burn it down again.
A businessman always has plan A & Plan B.....Trump has his "what if" plans ready.
And that Trump would be gone in November....
Karl “canned ham” Rove is America’s wishful thinking pundit.
LOL Love It!
I remember when McCain was out of the game and flat broke.
zactley
And probably a Plan C and a Plan D. He is like Patton on a rampage. Love his punch!
And I predict multi chins for Rove
Oh, ok Karl, then I’ll change and vote for Jeb.
Wow, I already feel so much better.
Come on everybody, STAND ON YOUR TIPPY TOES FOR JEB!!
You mean the same Karl Rove who said on Election Night 2012 Ohio and Florida were states Romney could win?
You mean that Karl Rove? Yeah sure, he has a good track record of getting his candidate elected.
How’s Jeb by the way, doing in the polls now?
