We are experiencing something extraordinary in American politics: A man who has never held public office appears to have become a force of nature this election cycle, and he is achieving this, according to polls, with no small amount of support from evangelical Christians.
The really puzzling thing is that Donald Trump defies every stereotype of a candidate you would typically expect Christians to vote for.
How much does the average evangelical Christian supporting Trump know about his history? Very little, it would seem. Many are content to follow the no-nonsense persona, rather than dig into Trump's past record.
Trump professes to be a Christian and says the Bible is his favorite book. While we should not judge a man's heart or motive, we can and should evaluate his words and actions.
Therefore, there are three questions I believe all evangelical Christians should ask themselves before supporting Donald Trump for President.
1) What is known about Trump's personal life and morality?

Flame away, but facts are stubborn things.
He isn’t running to be my pastor.
CNN is sympathetically concerned about Evangelicals?
I think not.
“Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.”
Amen to that.
Since when has CNN ever cared about ANYTHING evangelical? What crap. Go back into your hole CNN, you have no credibility.
Would he be the first president to shamelessly wave the Bible as a prop at his rallies in an attempt to show what a fine Christian man he is?
Please note that the first response by the Trump Toadies is to take a swipe at CNN. They have no answers for Trump’s accountability (or lack thereof). The typical M.O. of Trump’s people.
From what I see, evangelicals are all over the map. Trump, Cruz, Carson, Rubio, Santorum, and Huckabee all get their share. Even Bush. My cousin is for Bush. I was shocked. I chose to keep my mouth shut.
Is he in the running for Pope?
Could it be these things pale next to a “Truth is fallen in the streets” problem? Just maybe? Trump can always repent of adultery, can always refine his manner of talking, but a lie unchallenged is a lie that is going to live another day.
I expect non-Christians to act like non-Christians.
I’m choosing a POTUS and not a PASTOR.
It boggles their minds that we could actually have differing opinions.
To some trumpsters thats ok but Cruz is the domionist cultist who must be rejected for sinner Trump. Its quite odd this trumpster situational ethics.
“CNN is sympathetically concerned about Evangelicals?
I think not.”
Yeah, none of the MSM would dare to enter any house of worship. It would be tempting fate (or maybe something a little stronger).
That’s rich...now CNN is trying to direct Evangelistic Christians—who they hate—on what questions to ask? LOLOL!!
Note this little dingy in their opener paragraph...”A man who has never held public office...” So CNN, how those career politicians working out for the country? Pretty good for your Nancy Pewolsi—who had basically nothing to now over $150 Million net worth. Not bad for a walking and dumb as a brick breathing idiot.
Boy, really ratcheting up the hit pieces.
1. Kennedy predated Bill Clinton in the extramarital affairs dept.
2. Clinton was the first President to be a sexual predator, to have sex with an intern under his authority in the Oval Office.
3. Nixon, Johnson, and oh yeah Obama and his famous VP all used foul language. See “It’s a big f*&@! deal”.
So puhleez, spare me the having to live up to former Presidents crap. Trump would have to live down to many of them.
We're talking about Trumpies here. Some of them can't see their noses in front of their faces.
Only one man in history without sin. Divorced and remarried is a sin? Maybe for some. Sex with women? Sex, not adultery. Gee, I guess I’ve sinned too... Lots.
We all sin. Only the Lord judges. The author - and you - should remember that.
Speaking for the Lord is a great sin, and that is the one most frequently practiced by the pious.
