He is unafraid and steadfast in his Christian beliefs and how they apply to the way America should be led…and it’s quite frankly, pissing Liberals off.
"If we awaken and energize the body of Christ- if Christians and people of faith come out and vote our values- we will win and we will turn the country around," Cruz told volunteers on a conference call Tuesday.
"We're working to have a lead pastor in each of the 99 counties in Iowa, 99 pastors are organizing other pastors," Cruz said. "We're doing the same thing in South Carolina, organizing pastors in 46 counties to motivate and organize other pastors."
Cruz warned that, as the election nears, the attacks on his campaign will become more vicious."I want to tell everyone to get ready, strap on the full armor of God, get ready for the attacks that are coming," he warned. "Come the month of January we ain't seen nothing yet."
Cruz predicts that the nomination will come by the end of the March and said that his campaign is now in a "90-day sprint to win this nomination.""There is a very good possibility that the Republican primary will be decided by the end of March," he told them.
USA needs to reverse the course we’re on, stop the corrupt liberal-rot and return to our founding fathers plan for this country. THIS is what we know! Is Cruz the man to do it?
The Body of Christ should be awakened and energized for the sake of Jesus himself, not for some politician.
Cruz wants Jesus to play second fiddle to his candidacy.
You say this because .....?
This is creepy on many fronts and hints at some serious issues with Cruz. I have no issue with a candidate affirming his religion and faith and belief in Jesus. Nor do I have any issue with a politician staunchly defending religous liberty. But for Cruz to compare in effect, his campaign rising up by using the “Body of Christ” is beyond troubling. It’s borderline sick. It’s either shameless pandering to the reliogious voters of Iowa or narcissism of the highest order.
It’s amazing anyone would fall for the reliogious act. How long has Cruz been in the public eye? Three years or so. Until he ran for president, was anyone aware of his steadfast Christianity? Don’t think so. Has he ever gone full on religion on the Senate floor? Has he ever invoked God or Christ in any of his speeches in the Senate? Don’t remember that. So if Ted wants to talk about energizing the body of Christ on the Presidential campaign trail, you’d think he might want to do that in the Senate chamber. Ted is a fraud through and through and another politician that will do or say anything to get elected.
...and so begin the vicious attacks. What is the basis for your opinion?
A brilliant conservative Christian for president. I know the doubters will say he is too smart, he is too conservative, he is too Christian so he cannot possibly win. No, let us have a rich man because he is rich even though he is no conservative and he has a Bible.
Cruz is making the Body of Christmas serve his ends, not Jesus’s ends.
Eh, I don’t see a problem with it. The people who have a problem with this have a problem with Christianity — they just don’t like the notion of a sovereign God, nor do they like the idea that man is in sin and needs forgiveness.
The people he’s trying to motivate are largely the 4 million people who stayed home and did NOT vote for Romney. Cruz may be exactly right about this.
Honey! You are saying this because you prefer Trump, I get it - who has probably never heard the phrase before.
And your presumption in my view is wrong.
Cruz is making Jesus serve him, not the other way around.
A true Christian doesn’t make Jesus serve him. A true Christian serves Jesus.
You are anti-Cruz. Period. And your rant is - unreadable.
I really don’t see that as “making” them do anything.
No one, you are right, can make the God of the Universe serve them. He’s just talking to his volunteers, who largely share his worldview.
‘Name it and claim it’ is still around I guess.
I’m old school and don’t buy it. “If it be your will” underlies every hope, prayer and aspiration.
>>Cruz wants Jesus to play second fiddle to his candidacy.<<
Ted Cruz’s comment:
“I want to tell everyone to get ready, strap on the full armor of God, get ready for the attacks that are coming,” he warned.
Why would you attempt to twist the meaning of Ted Cruz’s words?
And your presumption in my view is wrong.
As a Christian, I serve Jesus and no one else. And I don't ask Him to serve me or some political movement.
Cruz haters trying to sound impartially critical. HA!
Sorry Libster, I am pro-Trump. I was actually a Cruz supporter until I relaized his actions don’t match the words and that Trump is a leader and Cruz is a gadfly and a typical politician. Sorry you can’t read.
You cannot criticize anything Cruz says or does without being personally attacked and having the worst motives assigned to you. The behavior is anything but Christian.
The body of Christ has the right to vote does it not? Is it wrong to ask that body for its vote?
