ROCKUMENTARY: NEW YEARS RETROSPECTIVE
#1 ON JANUARY 1, 1967
This was a Neil Diamond tune from the Brill Building recorded by a synthetic band.
This was the year that Lyndon Johnson escalated the war and the antiwar movement began to come into its own.
The Monkees: "I'm a Believer"

Simon & Garfunkel "The Sounds of Silence" That song makes no sense whatsoever. Si & Gar, you need to go back to Hey, Schoolgirl

Fireworks have been illegal in MA for years.
From the sounds of things tonight...they still are.
Just like the Simon and Garfunkle song...Sounds of Silence! LOL!

The number 100 song on the Billboard Hot 100 on January 1, 1967 was
Give Me Some Loving by the Spencer Davis Group, a tune that had been burning up the airwaves here in the Southland since November, 1966. It would eventually rise to #7 on the Hot 100.

ROCKUMENTARY: NEW YEARS RETROSPECTIVE
#1 ON JANUARY 1, 1968
The Fab Four were at it again.
Lyndon Johnson stepped out of the race before his own party could dump him, Richard Nixon's career came back from the dead, Bobby Kennedy joined the dead, and George Wallace almost ruined it for everybody.
The Beatles: "Hello Goodbye"
That's it for tonight! There's more Classic Rock coming tomorrow night. Happy New Year! Cue the Rockumentary Theme on Turntable #1!
The San Remo Golden Strings: "Festival Time"

I tried to give you a run for the money. LOL!
Nice fireworks!
Hope’s dimming for anything firing off from the farm tonight. A lot of disappointed folks around here. It usually sounds like a war zone by now and there hasn’t been the first boom.
