Donald Trump nukes Chris Christie while attacking a New Hampshire newspaper
The Business Insider ^ | 12/29 | Colin Campbell

Earlier in the day, Trump explained that he was attacking Christie because he felt the governor had colluded with the Union Leader on a scathing front-page editorial that opined, "Trump has shown himself to be a crude blowhard." The New Hampshire newspaper previously endorsed Christie.

Trump blasted Christie at his rally in the middle of an 10-minute-plus criticism of the Union Leader's publisher, whom Trump called a "loser," "lowlife," and a "sleazebag." Trump said he couldn't believe that Christie earned the paper's endorsement because of his embrace of Obama in 2012 and his overall stewardship of the New Jersey economy.

For some reason, I thought about that video of the whale being blown up with TNT.

Once upon a time, New Hampshire and the Union Leader were conservative. Then Taxachusetts drove all its lib commuters over the border.

I would have thought they liked crude blowhards, considering they have endorsed Christie. Oh well.

Actual primary votes need to be Trump 51%, Cruz 41% and the rest divided up by the rest. A couple of them could maybe swap the two top numbers.

Never did believe Christie when he said he knew nothing about the GW Bridge closure.

How could he not know — as governor? It took place over a couple of days (IIRC).

Trump called him on his knownothingness.

I love listening to Trump at these rallies. Last night he was talking about Christie at these meetings with his cabinet and not knowing that they were shutting down the bridge.

Trump cracks me up.

William and Nackey Loeb would be as shocked at what happened to their newspaper as Walt Disney was the final fate of his beloved Disneyland.

"Once upon a time, New Hampshire and the Union Leader were conservative. Then Taxachusetts drove all its lib commuters over the border."

The funny thing is that the immigrants to NH, the "Massholes", tend to vote more conservative and more Republican than do the native born NH residents.

Like you I blamed a wave of immigrants for all our problems with their demands for increased public services etc.

Turns out native born swamp Yankees are perfectly capable of voting Democrat and manifesting all sorts of liberal predilections.

Still, gotta love a state with no income tax, no sales tax, cheap liquor and where you can hunt on Sunday.

I think it was from the Tonight Show. That is Jimmy Fallon. It was part of an extended skit with Christie dancing. If you call it that.

“Trump has shown himself to be a crude blowhard.”

This is not exactly fresh news.

There is a lot of latent liberalism in Red Hampshire that comes out at each election cycle.
