To paraphrase the immortal words of Daniel Simpson "D-Day" Day, the war's over -- Donald Trump dropped the big one. At least Ruth Marcus thinks so when it comes to the Battle of the Sexes between Trump and Hillary Clinton. Marcus argues that while Trump personifies vulgarity, he has the edge over Hillary when it comes to attacks on women. Trump just makes sexist statements, Marcus argues, but Hillary's husband Bill preys on them:
*snip*
Marcus calls this playing "the Bill card," and it's been a long time coming. Hillary attacked Bernie Sanders for his supposed sexism earlier in the year, which led to a lot of spluttering from Team Sanders but not much more. Sanders' supporters tried defending themselves by telling everyone how much Bernie had done for women and so on, which amounts to a pretty week, "some of my best friends are X" sort of arguments. In fact, Trump did much the same thing earlier in the campaign after getting criticized as sexist for attacks on Megyn Kelly and Carly Fiorina, although neither candidate actually lost ground in the first place.
Trump has decided to fight fire with fire in this case, but this wasn't the first opening. Jaws dropped earlier this month when Hillary stated that all rape accusers had a right to be believed and supported. That led to this exchange in New Hampshire, when a woman at a townhall event asked, "But would you say that about Juanita Broaddrick, Kathleen Willey, and Paula Jones? Should we believe them as well?" The three women had openly accused Bill Clinton of sexual assault (harassment in Jones' case).

I will argue that more Americans identify with Bernie Sanders more than they do with Hillary Clinton. Maybe 8 years ago, Hillary stood a chance, but now she personifies the worst of us as Americans.
She’s lazy, de-conditioned, contrived, a liar, hateful, spiteful, an unhappy person etc. There is nothing about her to like or love, and this is foremost to why people vote for someone.
Trump is like a big kid. He runs off at the mouth, then brings it back, and you feel for the guy.
He’s a Gemini so you’re going to get two different personalities, a talker, who articulates clearly what he’s thinking. A person who likes nice things, and not ashamed about it.
I see him staying in the WH as much as possible and having people come to see him.
A Trump presidency is going to be loud and gaudy and productive, unless we lose the Senate, then it will be your usual do nothing Congress.
I’m stocking the pantry with popcorn, in eager anticipation of the premiere of the Trump campaign ad starring Juanita Broaddrick.
When you’ve lost Leftwing harpy Ruth Marcus, Hillary . . . . . . . .
I don’t care how many babies Chelsea pumps out, the granny card will never trump the Bill card. Next up is the FBI card played by Comey. Of course the Dept. of Justus will never pursue charges. Trump will go to town with that and the media mad dogs will be drug along yipping and yapping.
âPeople get the government they deserveâ Joseph de'Maistre
If this is the government about which the Founders warned us, it's because, with just a few exceptions conspicuous by their rarity, we have become the people they feared we would become.
"A nation of well informed men, who have been taught to know and to prize the rights God has given them, cannot be enslaved. It is in the region of ignorance that tyranny begins." Benjamin Franklin
When all else fails, Hillary will resort to the sympathy card. I’d hate to be Bill’s food tester.
And is that woman still alive?
And Hillary knew about Bill’s behavior all along.
I think that’s card already been punched out. There’s no more spaces left.
It’s a no-brainer that calling a fat slob, unfunny comedian a fat slob, unfunny comedian is “trumped” by the rape of an innocent woman.
I'm sure they think they can deal with this early and give the sheeple time to forget. Next year the meme will be this has all been dealt with before, it's old news.
Weak. Hire an editor, Wapo.
A male paraphilia in which insecurity about masculinity and/or latent homosexuality is masked by multiple sexual liaisons with different female partners, without emotional commitment, but not as a paid gigolo, hustler, or call boy.
I can’t see how Hillary is going to say anything against Trump. Can you imagine at a debate if she smarts off to him, and he brings up that she stole furniture and silverware from the WH?
Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?
No, there’s one left space to be punched: the death of Bill Clinton. Even he says that’s good for two million votes.
I think Hillary counted on the media but failed to remember that Trump has learned to circumvent the MSM and control the media narrative.
