Automatically make each of us âdonorsâ unless we signed a form saying ânoâ in advance.
Yikes!

The you’re “IN” unless you “opt out” idea they’re wanting to sell seems to go along with the Planned Parrenthood idea of “we take what we want” and “do with it what we want” scenarios already in use.
You can always opt out, it is the potential python sketch that scares me... When they come for a liver that i am already using
Other than that i am game for it... And have opted in already
Lots of money to be made in them there parts.
I will “donate” when the docs and nurses donate their time, when the hospitals donate their facilities and services.
Otherwise it is a moneymaking scheme like “donating” blood.
A little Chinese medicine never hurt anyone...
“Fascism” the new American way.
There was a recent thread about ISIS taking organs from the living even if it killed them.
The devil is at work with all of this.
I’m an organ donor — opted in when I obtained my state ID card — but I don’t like these “you’re in unless you opt out” schemes. Bad enough I get that with my credit card when it sells my info to assorted vendors.
Donating organs should be a personal decision. And for some it’s not an option because their religion prohibits it. For those people, this scheme sounds a bit discriminatory to me.
I have always opted in. If they did this, I would opt out.
Ditto.
Everyone makes a fortune except the donor. System sucks. Same for blood.
Just posting for information’s sake. Decisions are up to you.

I was asked to make a blood donation the other day by the Red Cross. I told that I will no longer donate blood since they have enough blood donated by the gays.
a moneymaking scheme like âdonatingâ blood.
You don’t own that liver, you know.
I choose to make that decision based on the best information provided to me, or my next-of-kin based on the situation at hand.
I would never trust a doctor, who may be advocating for a patient that is not you, to make this decision.
After that, the only condition I would consider donating is if an organ were actually being transplanted into a patient in need.
I will not consider any part of me becoming a plaything for medical researchers, unless they pay me ahead of time, which they won’t do.
I’m afraid that means I’ll go into the ashcan at the end - every part of me.
Anyone who thinks government and the medical profession can be trusted to be ethical in a “auto opt-in” system is delusional. They cannot be trusted.
I don’t cotton to the idea of going into a hospital with dollar values assigned to my organs knowing that those values are higher if the organs are taken from a living body rather than an indubitably dead one.
Very good point! Actually a serious and valid concern.. especially considering the current set and setting of healthcare in general.
