A Republican Playbooker who lives in D.C. is back home in New Hampshire for the week: "Driving around the state's capital [Concord] (which is more heavily Democrat than Republican) ... you notice ... lots of visible support for Bernie: lawn signs and bumper stickers. There are signs of support for Hillary too, but Bernie appears to be winning the passion race, if nothing else. A smattering of Ben Carson signs placed only at busy intersections. More paid media from Right to Rise than anyone.
"I asked my folks, all longtime supporters of establishment Republicans, who they're backing: Trump. When you try to advocate for more traditional candidates, they dig in more for Trump (whose Christmas card is kept in a place of honor)."

Where? The Villages in central Florida?
ILLINOIS - GOPe Stronghold
I wonder if Bernie Goetz is a Trump supporter?
For now
I agree.
I am for Trump but would gladly vote for Ted is Trump has a problem winning. Pretty good situation for us right nowâ¦no estab candidate has a hope in hell of getting the GOP nomination.
Just as long as you bear in mind that Mr. Trump is not a conservative.
There is no evidence of that whatsoever.
He is running to the right now, but will pivot to the center for the general.
I wonder what happens when Cruz runs out of evangelicals?

Ted’s appeal isn’t just to evangelicals; it’s to Conservatives.
Yep, Trump is a voter magnet. I have some low info voter friends and family members (in-laws and such) that are/were Obama fans (ugh) that are now on boarding the Trump train. I’m tempted to say to them ‘No! He’s my candidate damn it!’ but I’m also smart enough to stay quiet and recognize that Trump is purposely targeting the ‘low info voters’ just as much as he is the well informed.
However, most devout Ted Cruz and Rand Paul supporters that I know are coming unhinged and are down right mean about Trump’s success.
Not really; perhaps some, but you’re overestimating his strength. And unlike Trump, he doesn’t have much of a crossover appeal.
“Where are you? West DuPage here.
L”
West DuPage here too. Downers Grove to be exact.
All my friends out here in the Western and Southwestern suburbs of Chicagoland, are for Trump. Trump’s winning by a large margin in IL.
Just a couple of exits up 355 in Carol Stream.
Happy New Year to you.
L
Can't speak for other parts of Will County (ie: Joliet, southern Will County, etc..) Here where I specifically live, it's very anti GOP-E.
ROFL! I’m not quite at the most southern end of I-355 .... or as I call it “Autobahn West.”
Respectfully, Illinois doesn't HAVE a GOP! How can we have a GOP-E?
There's an old joke, which isn't actually a joke about trying to vote Republican in Chicago.
"You say you want a Republican ballot there bunky? You just sit right there and wait a bit. We're gonna have to print one up for you. See, we don't get any requests for those in these parts. Oh, and by the way? Sorry about your garbage cans and your house fire. Oh, and your dog too. Pity, he got run over by the tow truck that impounded your car because you forgot to buy your city sticker. Sorry about your damn' luck."
Trump is the revenge of the Tea Party.
“The GOPe in my area are still clinging to JEB.”

Now, THAT is funny...and possibly true!
I’m in the South, am not an evangelical and I am a Cruz supporter. So is my husband. I actually only know one couple who are Trump supporters.
