Officials from Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, near Pemberton, are looking for 28-year-old Marine Sgt. Tristan Clinger.
Clinger’s wife told the station the man took off on foot around 4 p.m. ET on December 20 and has not been seen since then.

Must be something they are worried about, to have said “at risk”. Maybe he articulated thoughts of suicide and/or depression or the like.

could just be drifting. I’ve known several schizophrenics who have done that.
Do we have any evidence of combat? Particularly anything that might have caused a brain injury?
Of course, my first question would be whether there was a source other than the wife.
article is very brief. we’re probably not being told a whole bunch.
But I think someone in charge somewhere is worried.
I’m skeptical. I would think a brain injury serious enough cause observable signs from a photograph would have been discovered at some point by a doctor, fellow marine, family etc. Someone around him would have noticed that something wasn’t right.
