This week we asked ABC News contributor and Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol five questions about Donald Trump, the GOP's current frontrunner for the nomination for president, and the broader 2016 race for the White House. Kristol will appear on the "This Week" roundtable Sunday.
1] You sent a tweet suggesting a new party would have to be started if Donald Trump wins the GOP nomination. Were you serious? Would you leave the Republican party if he does win the nomination?
KRISTOL: I was semi-serious. I don't think Trump will be the nominee, so I don't expect it to be an issue. But since I don't think I could support Trump, and I'd like to have someone to vote for, if Trump were to be the nominee, I'd be open to a new party, probably for 2016 only -- but you never know.

Poor deluded person, who refuses to see what is going on around him & will blindly follow anyone who with just a loud vulgar voice over a cliff.
I don’t think that an Iowa loss would be the end of Trump. But it would make the next few primaries more interesting.
Care to REALLY see a “deluded person”?
Then quickly run to the nearest mirror or shiny surface and peek into it.
Bill Kristol needs to swim with the fishes.
That shows how important Iowa (or NH) really is anymore.
Bill Kristol has suckled off the commie/fascist teat his entire life.
iowa is a beauty pageant event. If they want to be a primary they should have the testicular fortitude to be a true primary and tell NH to pound sand.
Trump can be distinguished from Kristol in that the Donald has a mystique to lose. And he won't be losing Iowa, or his mystique.
KRISTOL’s living in a small conservative elite bubble. He’s clueless...
*S*.........
This mean Bill get get invited to the COOL parties again.
Kristol knows that only Cruz can beat Trump in Iowa, so throwing Rubio and Christie in is just PC cover.
Are the Marxist globalists now championing Ted Cruz as the "Anyone but Trump" candidate? This was predicted long ago.
Has anyone in the GOPe threaten to leave the GOP if Cruz is the nominee? Has anyone in the GOPe threaten to support Hillary if Cruz is the nominee? Has anyone in the GOPe threaten to run a third party candidate if Cruz is the GOP nominee? What does that tell you?
Hardly, I fully expect someone else to win Iowa... Why would folks who feel disenfranchised show up just to argue why they are voting for the anti establishment candidate in large numbers? Caucuses by their very nature format and design are for establishment politicians.
I fully expect they Trump will not win Iowa, he may, but wouldn’t be surprised at all if he didn’t win there... But I fully expect him to carry every state afterwards.
IF it happens.. and we're not even there yet.
If it DOESN'T happen then Kristoll can join Karl Rove as being just another clown blowing to the galleries.
Remind me again... When's the last time the South voted for a New York Yankee? And Texas?
HaHaHaHa!
I just looked again.
You are right!!!
Makes that quick, animated graphic all the more hilarious!
