This week we asked ABC News contributor and Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol five questions about Donald Trump, the GOP's current frontrunner for the nomination for president, and the broader 2016 race for the White House. Kristol will appear on the "This Week" roundtable Sunday.
1] You sent a tweet suggesting a new party would have to be started if Donald Trump wins the GOP nomination. Were you serious? Would you leave the Republican party if he does win the nomination?
KRISTOL: I was semi-serious. I don't think Trump will be the nominee, so I don't expect it to be an issue. But since I don't think I could support Trump, and I'd like to have someone to vote for, if Trump were to be the nominee, I'd be open to a new party, probably for 2016 only -- but you never know.

Agreed. What Kristol is doing here is to set a narrative for a Trump loss. He is not the first to do so.
I assume they will be saying Trump won’t be the nominee up until he is sworn in.
Kristol, along with Rich Lowery, two warrior magazines editors, were two who advised Romney that all the had to do to win the third and last debate with Obama was to “act presidential”.
So Romney did act like what he thought was presidential. It was unfortunate that no one else thought it was. He probably would have won the debate and the election if he had not spent so much time telling Obama what a good job he had done.
I guess no one told Jeb if you push up on your toes and stick your chin out, it puts a really stupid expression on your face.

I’ve really grown to like Trump because he embarasses the many weasels with his consistent refusal to play weather vane like they do. I am trying not to get too attached since I doubt that the demonic twits who “serve” us will allow it.

Bill Kristol is just another GOPe schill. As soon as Trump is nominated he will support him. They are all going to want to have access to the next GOP President.
It will be over by May 1st. The GOP may mount a 3rd Party to end Trump (Who? Bush? Mittens?)>>>

But Huckabee won Iowa last time around; then Romney won the nomination, IIRC.
Since Trump has NO PAC, none at all, is funding his own campaign ( no matter what YOU claim ), then you’re the one who has no idea what they’re posting; not I.
I don’t believe Iowa will define anyone. Rather, it will help start weeding out the field. It will take the top 2 or 3 a handful of victories to weed them out.

I’m a Cruz supporter. A big win in Iowa would be very helpful to Cruz.
However, a loss in Iowa for Trump is far from big loss for him. He has national momentum.
With the out and out fraud last time, I am surprised the narrative has moved to Cruz.
Why? Why Cruz and not say, Jeb?
Remember, Kristol hates you, me, and most in the Republican base. Why this tactic?
I disagree, but I think Trump will take Iowa in any event.
