Bill Kristol: Donald Trump Mystique Would Disappear With Iowa Loss
ABC News ^ | 12/26/15 | BEN BELL

Posted on 12/26/2015 11:16:37 AM PST by jimbo123

This week we asked ABC News contributor and Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol five questions about Donald Trump, the GOP's current frontrunner for the nomination for president, and the broader 2016 race for the White House. Kristol will appear on the "This Week" roundtable Sunday.

1] You sent a tweet suggesting a new party would have to be started if Donald Trump wins the GOP nomination. Were you serious? Would you leave the Republican party if he does win the nomination?

KRISTOL: I was semi-serious. I don't think Trump will be the nominee, so I don't expect it to be an issue. But since I don't think I could support Trump, and I'd like to have someone to vote for, if Trump were to be the nominee, I'd be open to a new party, probably for 2016 only -- but you never know.

Kristol who? He hasn’t picked the winner of any race, ever, has he?

They make their living by being wrong and then taking days to explain why it was someone else's fault, a la Rove.

Mystique? It’s just mystique? Is that what they think? Yup!

Trump has really fogged up their crystal balls.

An Iowa loss does not necessarily spell doom. Otherwise, we would have had President Dole, President Huckabee, President Santorum.

I’m a Cruz supporter who expects Cruz to win Iowa. Trump will remain a formidable force and is well positioned to win eight or more majority shares of delegates.

The GOP-E attitiude of questioning the legitimacy of Trump’s position, without even considering their role in creating it, is a bold example of chutzpah. (Let me know if that’s a dirty word for them.)

So when Trump wins does that mean Bill Kristol will disappear?

Trump is thinking out of the ol-same -o-box that Crystal and the old school just don’t get. Instead of wasting money on flyers asking for money or support (which immediately goes in trash) Trump sends out a Christmas card that will be shared with friends, neighbors, family during the holidays.

Not sure what the ground actions will be in IOWA, but expect it to be nothing the. Old School would think of! They have contact information for all of those people who attended Ralleys and a lot of money that hasn’t been spent yet ( 30-40 million under budget) HMMMM?

Mystique?

He’s the only one who is going to even try but will actually succeed in bringing down the bushclinton dynasty that, together with their state enemy and greedy corporate donors, has had a chokehold on this country since 1988

Dream on Kristin. It’s over

to answer Krisotl.... yes, it might. The question is will he lose, and will it hurt him if he does. So fat the dynamic for Trump is unlike anything that has preceded him. Thus predictions for possible outcomes is the equivalent of tilting at windmills.

I state this seriously, and in red font to make my point:
Bill Kristol is all of 5'3" (I know this for a fact, because I am 5'4" and I have stood next to him). NOT by my choice, but by Kristol's choice and I've never received the promised copy of the photo.

Kristol suffers from "little man syndrome".
.

Lots of men want to be taller, even the tall ones, as proved by maggief's awesome graphic below.

Fox News dropped Bill Kristol from its list of commentators AND Kristol found a new home at PMSNBC. The last time I saw him, he was whining about Trump to Joe Scarborough and Mika and he got more sympathy from Scarborough than Mika!

Kristol has always been a RINO and worse.

Iowa has a chance to redeem itself by going all the way with Trump. As it stands they have chosen to go with the weak and is more likely supporting America’s overthrow by radical Muslims. That is what is stake. Only with Trump can we be restored both economically and as a world power.

Neocons like Kristol want United States to start a war with Iran, the current chief foe of Israel.

Before it was Iraq. The neocons like Cheney & Kristol convinced Boosh-43 to Attack Iraq. They told him Iraqi’s would welcome American GI’s with garlands of flowers! Boosh-43 still believes Islam is a religion of peace. He does not realize all these countries believed the same thing...
Starting with a few nomads in the desert of Saudi Arabia, Muslims are now the majority in following countries. Majority Muslim countries...

Indonesia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Egypt, Turkey,
Iran, Sudan, Algeria, Afghanistan, Morocco,
Iraq, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, Yemen,
Syria, Kazakhstan, Niger, Burkina Faso, Mali, Senegal,
Tunisia, Guinea, Somalia, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan,
Sierra Leone, Libya, Jordan, United Arab Emirates,
Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Chad, Lebanon, Kuwait,
Albania, Mauritania, Oman, Kosovo, Gambia, Bahrain,
Comoros, Qatar, Djibouti, Brunei, Maldives, Palestine

Large communities of Muslims are also found in China, the Balkans, India, and Russia. Other parts of the world host large Muslim immigrant communities; in Western Europe, for instance, Islam is the second largest religion after Christianity, where it represents 6% of the total population.

Islam has 1.6 billion adherents, making up over 22% of the world population. Islam is just like cancer. In the beginning there are no symptoms, no pain. It spreads silently. The host is completely unaware of the danger lurking ahead. After it grows larger, symptoms show up, and then it kills the host.

RE: Mystique?

Trump is the ONLY one telling it like it is...no sugar-coating, no ‘focus groups’, no P.C., no parsing of words.

He’s the ONLY one who, saying he’ll do something, will most likely DO something. NO biz man is going to get taken to the cleaners and expect to survive. NO biz man is going to blow smoke and expect to BE taken at their word. NO biz man can survive w/out building trust and covering-their-ass (except those propped up by the taxpayer through govt).
