It was the Detroit News headline "Trump goes after Ford Motor Co." not how long Hillary went overtime in the restroom that got our attention. Donald Trump made a whistle stop outside Grand Rapids, Michigan to take aim at Ford’s plans to expand production in Mexico. Trump promised if elected he would threaten manufacturers with big tariffs on imports to discourage building manufacturing plants south of the border.
Trump to Ford, "If you build that plant in Mexico, I’m going to charge you 35 percent on every car, truck part that you send into our country," he said. "Every single one." Trump went further saying he would engage in tough negotiations with car companies to build new plants in the US and Michigan. Political analysts say Trump’s proposal would at the very minimum require congressional approval and possibly violate NAFTA.

So I should take sh!t form a progressive prick like you? F off.
I believe that “gobbledy gook” as you call it because it’s written in God’s Word.
Yes, God bless America, but America hasn’t done a whole lot of blessing God lately- and we’ve suffered for it.
What’s “gobbledy gook” is people who tell others not to worry about or be aware of such things, not to study the book of Revelation because it’s not to be understood and you’re going to be gone anyway. Or that you’re going to have some Godzilla like monster rising out of the sea rather than what it is, a one world governmental system rising out of the waters(peoples).
Before I’m an American I am a believer in the bible and in Jesus Christ. Maybe the country would be a lot better off if more of his prioritized that and looked to please God and looked to Him for our protection and our blessings rather than waiting for the next man to come and save us. It sure as heck couldn’t hurt.
You are a gloBULList shill. Go Trump,go! The kooks are out on FR tonite!
Who do you not hate? You hate three major groups: Non-southerners, non-secessionists, and non-protectionists. You hate 99% of your countrymen.
You are passing your pearls before swine to this dude. lol
“And a 50% tax on every dollar wired to Mexico every payday.”
Yes. I think that controlling the money aliens are sending to their respective home countries is a no-brainer. If it is no longer profitable for them to send USA-earned dollars home to Mama in Mexico, or wherever, self deportation might actually catch on.
I don't hate them at all, only the stupid ones like you.
Oh, you call all your friends "traitors"? Are free traders traitors or aren't they?
You should read some of Jim Robinson's posts on Free trade....
Most would be free traders rather than protectionists.
You should read some of Jim Robinson's posts on Free trade....
I agree with no one on all things. If you want to bring his opinion in on it, maybe we should discuss his opinion on secession. What is Free Republic's position on secession?
You are correct.
Thank you for that.
He may have stated his case on that but I haven't seen it. I have seen him post that if Texas were to secede he would go there in a minute.
‘’I want a mean SOB to follow the SOB currently living in the White House.’’
Definitely. The more “badass” Trump becomes, the more I support him. The last few decades of mealy-mouthed, milquetoast, weasel-wording politicians have killed the USA. Trump is the only one with the backbone to turn around the trend.
Lady if you believe God is telling you that a “one world” uni-government is the way to redemption and salvation you are a kook. Get help.
Welcome, but I didn't mean it's not worth a try. The good thing about passing pearls on a site like this is that it reaches more than the swine. :^)
>> There are many things that aren’t being made in America because they can’t be made here for a price that American consumers will support due to our country’s existing tax/regulatory environment. No tariff can change that. <<
Agreed completely.
But that ain’t half of the story. The more important reality is that if a dictator ruled the USA and decreed tomorrow that all the toys, electronics, appliances, furniture, shoes, home furnishings and clothing imported into the USA must henceforth be made here, we simply wouldn’t have the labor force to accomplish the requirement.
Moreover, even if we put every able-bodied American adult and child to work making such labor-intensive products as most of the items sold at Walmart and Target and Sears and your local retailer, we’d still probably come up short — not to mention the fact that we’d have to stop making cars, repairing computers, laying fiber-optic cables, cleaning clothes, eating in restaurants and growing food.
But don’t breathe a word of this reality to the latter-day petty mercantilists who worship at the foot of a Ross Perot or a Pat Buchanan or a Dick Gephardt or a Donald Trump. They won’t be interested in analyzing the problem and showing logically where you are mistaken. No, they’ll only be able to call you pejorative names and hurl childish insults.
Clear as a bell on the home page in the disclaimer paragraph:
"Free Republic does not advocate or condone racism, violence, rebellion, secession, or an overthrow of the government."
Oh boy, you are really a brainwashed gloBULList. My God we have 90 million not working in the USA, roughly the population of the UK and Canada combined.
I noticed that as well...good.
Well I have seen Jim Robinson post pro secession sentiments. Sadly he doesn’t post much anymore....
