A Museum of the Bible forms in very secular Washington
McClatchy DC ^ | Dec. 24, 2015 | Mario Recio

The National Mall may be the nation's front lawn, but even at holiday time the museums that line it are only lightly decorated with Christmas trees and lights and not with any religious displays.

But a new privately-owned museum is going up just a few blocks away - the Museum of the Bible - that only wants to celebrate Scripture.

Hope it’s got big glass windows and the book is displayed in different settings many, many times.

Museums are for relics. Seems fitting for DC to do this. Although perhaps a bit premature.

No, museums are to remind people of the past & also of the truth. Maybe this is a way to remind DC of the heritage of this nation...a Christian nation, though they want to deny it.

Naturally, Washington DC can play host to the The Church of Satan and that's just fine. Washington DC can be the home of known Muslim Terrorist Cells and that's just fine too - apparently.

But, heaven forbid that a self-made multi-millionare who took absolutely no taxpayer money to start and grow his Hobby Lobby business, and choses to honor his faith by purchasing land to open a museaum to display the Holy Scriptures - why, that's apparently something that the MSM must put a stop to.

Is it me, or has the MSM gone "Full Tard" recently?

. A bible museum in Babylon, DC ?? A finer example you’ll never ever find of Casting pearls before swine ( Matt. 7:6). (But at this point, it may be still worth a try — almost anything might help maybe ??? We live for hope ...... Hope springs eternal .....)

I think people can so ingratiate themselves with the pride of making judgmental statements based on stereotypical observations, that they can completely miss it when the Lord actually moves.

A comment more characteristic of core Christian faith might be, for example, that Washington DC is notorious for being sadly low in, and widely hostile to, faith — but it is to be hoped that this is part of a divine plan to revive interest in faith.

I’d only suggest one other thing, and that’s to create a web version of the exhibits. People still may want to visit the museum to see what it has to show, in person, which sounds like it would be things like reproductions of historical bible manuscripts, bible maps, etc.

That’s a pretty sweeping judgment and this article seems, at worst, to have a mild, detached skepticism.

I don’t even know from this if the Greens have changed anything about their vision or if spin is being sent their way.
