It's a pretty odd business decision if you turn it into a newspaper version of Fox News Channel. By Tuesday night, Adelson's new management team had begun to take the reins, firing back in their own editorial, which ran on Wednesday's front page, that they would "publish a newspaper that is fair, unbiased and accurate."

Merry Christmas.
Lots of us retired or outright quit. I doubt many will return.
Reid will be given a pass.
"Whatever happens in Nevada will stay in Nevada" will be the new mission statement.
The Fox-Tribune?
This should be worth some popcorn.
I don’t think they will have to fire any illiberal liberals. They will quit.
Supposedly this is a GOP guy, but GOP can mean all manner of shenanigans today.
You worked for the LV R-J?
Did you see post #2? Looks like somebody already quit or retired.
Our very own cynic?
What would a newspaper do with less cynics on its staff?
No. I worked for Brehm Communications papers. I’m just saying that unbiased journalists are nearly extinct in the business today and those of us that left will not be returning. The industry is no longer a viable outlet for honesty.
Shelly has always manipulated journalists. Now he owns them.
!*&@#$% sus madres!
To show that you “feel” their pain. LOL!
Gotcha. Thx.
Oh maybe that is part of the explanation of why you are coming on as you do.
Newspaper people have long had a sense that they, through various angles/spins/biases on the news, are movers and shakers. They aren’t there to tell what has happened. They are there to cause things to happen even at the expense of making it utterly unclear what has happened.
Therefore ridiculous things like your existential cage. You can cage something in your own mind but that doesn’t touch anybody else at all — UNLESS you have conned them into hanging on your every word.
Steve Sebelius, their key editorialist, blackballed a book review unfavorable to Harry Reid right before the 2010 election. I just reconfirmed this with the reporter who wrote the review.
Things are about to heat up on Reid. Trust me. Sebelius needs to pay.
Hitek, A guy that claims religiosity while finding bemusement in the Planned parenthood videos he was too otherwise occupied to comment on, is really in no credible position to judge the mindset of anyone.
If you have a problem with isolating the very people responsible for the destruction of this country and preventing them from continuing, then by all means, lay out your position. Confining such people is the historical alternative to executing them. Which do you prefer?
Supposedly this is a GOP guy, but GOP can mean all manner of shenanigans today.
...
True. Fox News is GOPe. I stopped watching them years ago.
Heh heh heh... the damning approach is the ONLY approach you know. That falls flat when God has blessed. Give it up (and if you dig, you will find that yes, you are misrepresenting).
And I hasten to add, there is no problem with damning ABORTION. There is BIG problem with damning those who don’t oppose it in quite the fashion that tickles your little tootsies. I was timing my remarks to point out hypocrisy. You’d think we would want to be free of hypocrisy, no? So that our opposition of the actual evil would be all the stronger?
No, you react like a dumb animal without actually thinking about the issues. And that’s probably because you were associating heart and soul with dumb animals for so long, so to speak. I can’t think of a bigger group of asses than our media.
No, I’m stating a fact and there were witnesses. So you might just as well disclose your more recent admission that your trolling me is a personal issue and be done with it.
As usual, the misrepresenting is yours. And on Christmas eve no less.
