...he was for amnesty before he was against it...
[snip]
...from the No. 1 defender of deportation. At the end of June, speaking to the press in Chicago and after saying he "heard you probably have 30 million" illegal aliens in America, Trump contended:
"You have to give them a path, and you have to make it possible for them to succeed. You have to do that. But the bad ones, and there are bad ones, you have to get out, and you have to get them out fast."
[snip]
...Trump, interviewed by Newsmax's Ron Kessler, blasted Mitt Romney's "crazy policy of self-deportation." It was "maniacal," he said, contending it cost the Republican "all of the Latino vote" and adding "he lost everybody who is inspired to come into this country."
Trump told Kessler that the Republicans must develop comprehensive immigration reform "to take care of this incredible problem that we have with respect to immigration, with respect to people wanting to be wonderful, productive citizens of this country."
[snip]
..."The Democrats didn't have a policy for dealing with illegal immigrants, but what they did have going for them is they weren't mean-spirited about it. ... What they were is they were kind."
[snip]
Trump sneered, "Jeb (Bush) is a very nice person" and "Jeb said when they come across the southern border, they come as an act of love." But Trump's reference to immigrants, legal and illegal, as "people wanting to be wonderful, productive citizens of this country" sounds awfully similar.
"I have a very hard-line position,"... ..."People that have come into our country illegally, they have to go."
"They have to go" is quite a flipflop from the "you have to give them a path" position that Trump took only five and a half months ago.

What he said yesterday is erased by what he ssys today.
Get’cha mind right or you’ll spend a night in the box.
Even as recently as a couple of months ago when the issue of Syrian “refugees” came up, Trump said of course we should accept the victim refugees and in less than a week he reversed himself on this. I really want to support Trump but I just don’t know if I can trust him.
Since he announced in June the headline makes little sense. As far as dealing with the Media or the lefties on it - a lot of new prior hidden facts, plus POTUS disregard of the border, have come out since Mittens time. As the problem worsened the remedies available became ever more harsh.
Better they come in from the cold and leave the dark side, like Trump...rather than...Ryan!
That’s not my take on it. He says not one thing about granting them citizenship. He never said that. What’s more, once he started looking at the extent of the problem, like nobody before, it was clear that there’s a problem.
THese idiots are comparing what the guy said at the beginning of the campaign and now. There is evolution in the man’s thinking. He now realizes that Muslims are a group of people in this country who as a whole are a threat.
You bring in 1 million Chinese and the country might be better, 1 million hindus the same... 1 million Muslims? You’re looking at the destruction of our way of life.
IT’s time for the Ryans the McCain to just vanish.
I’m for Trump
Sounds like you’re trying to tear down the leading Trump, to advocate for a weaker candidate.
Who do you support please?
What Justin Bieber is to teenage girls, Donald Trump is to low information voters.
The shocking part is where Trumpskis believe he is a man of action, when in fact he hasn’t done anything even remotely close to what he says he wants to do.
He is a typical New York blowhard: all talk and all sleaze.
Once again, that’s not what I heard. I think in reference to taking in $5000, but when it was going to be 200,000? HE exploded. And again, he’s the only one pointing out that these people are mainly men with cell phones.
I’m for Trump.
And the problem with that is?
The morons who wrote the article obviously don’t know what amnesty is.
The path that Trump is talking about is for the illegals to go back to their countries and apply from there.
This article is 100% garbage.
That's just it, I'm just not sure I can trust Trump no to turn into a Ryan the second he gets the nomination. I want to trust him, he's saying all the right things with a courage no other Republican but, maybe, Cruz displays but I just don't know.
He is a completely different person now than he was for the first 68 years of his life.
His complete transformation comes from an unshakable conviction deep in his soul, and the fact that it happened when he decided to run for office is a complete and utter coincidence.
Trump is saying what he has to say to win. He wants it. He has nothing consistent in his history to back up anything he now says. I don’t believe for a NY minute he would appoint conservatives to any bench.
Right now his choices seem to be based mostly on who sucks up to him and who doesn’t.
Most grating to me, he whines and belittles others daily, worse than Bambi. And I don’t believe he was really like that before he entered the race.
Some of us mentioned this months ago. We have been drowned out by the trumpeteers blowing donalds horn.
Give it up IBD.
Right — did Trump flip-flop or is the national awareness shifting at a rapid pace? I think it’s national awareness. He learns the truth, he warns the nation, and national awareness shifts.
I think he has passion because all of this is fresh pain to him. I remember the feeling. And I also noticed how the freshness fades the longer I stay at the forum.
