Let's face it, everyone's got a past and the record's there for all to see. Sure, there's a lot to be said for Trump --and at the same time let's keep our eyes wide open and know what the facts are. If we don't see deal w/ this now it'll only be worse when the left throws it in our faces.

Even as recently as a couple of months ago when the issue of Syrian “refugees” came up, Trump said of course we should accept the victim refugees and in less than a week he reversed himself on this. I really want to support Trump but I just don’t know if I can trust him.

Since he announced in June the headline makes little sense. As far as dealing with the Media or the lefties on it - a lot of new prior hidden facts, plus POTUS disregard of the border, have come out since Mittens time. As the problem worsened the remedies available became ever more harsh.

That’s not my take on it. He says not one thing about granting them citizenship. He never said that. What’s more, once he started looking at the extent of the problem, like nobody before, it was clear that there’s a problem.

THese idiots are comparing what the guy said at the beginning of the campaign and now. There is evolution in the man’s thinking. He now realizes that Muslims are a group of people in this country who as a whole are a threat.

You bring in 1 million Chinese and the country might be better, 1 million hindus the same... 1 million Muslims? You’re looking at the destruction of our way of life.

IT’s time for the Ryans the McCain to just vanish.

I’m for Trump

Sounds like you’re trying to tear down the leading Trump, to advocate for a weaker candidate.

Who do you support please?

Doesn't matter. He is a magical prince.

What Justin Bieber is to teenage girls, Donald Trump is to low information voters.

The morons who wrote the article obviously don’t know what amnesty is.

The path that Trump is talking about is for the illegals to go back to their countries and apply from there.

This article is 100% garbage.

Trump is saying what he has to say to win. He wants it. He has nothing consistent in his history to back up anything he now says. I don’t believe for a NY minute he would appoint conservatives to any bench.
Right now his choices seem to be based mostly on who sucks up to him and who doesn’t.
Most grating to me, he whines and belittles others daily, worse than Bambi. And I don’t believe he was really like that before he entered the race.

To those who support Trump, it doesn’t matter. To them it’s just another unjustified attack. To those who don’t support Trump, it’s just another reason to dislike/distrust him and continue to support someone else.

A happy Friday morning to all!   Yesterday's close saw stock indexes snapping back under their 50-day moving averages but the good news is it was in lower volume.  On the third other hand this mornings futures see stock indexes at -1.75% and metals -2.80% (gold/silver now at $1,055.93/$13.83).

At least we're done w/ the major econ reports as everyone's still trying to figure out how we get Tuesday's CPI at zero and the next day the Fed decides to fight inflation by raising interest rates.

Sad part is, if we can’t trust Trump, and we can’t trust Cruz, then who *can* we trust? Carson and Rubio are right out.

I read his book “Time to get Tough”. I think it was written in 2011 and he says in that book pretty much what he is saying now about many subjects, including immigration. He has been saying the same thing for a while now.

... of course they leave out the bit from the video reference where Tump says the path is you have to get out of the country and get in line(for citizenship). That’s his path.

Sounds reasonable enough.

I am disturbed by some of Trump’s past positions as I’m thrilled about some of his current ones, and clearly many of his positions have changed dramatically. So, the issue there seems to be: Was he lying then or lying now?

I choose to believe that his positions changed because he became educated. Immigration would be a great example: When Trump looked at running he looked at the biggest issues, met with Jeff Sessions, adopted Sen. Session’s positions and launched his candidacy on them. So, Trump decided immigration was the biggest problem our Republic has, found the guy with the best plan, hired him and planted his flag as manager and negotiator to enact the plan.

I would expect Trump to do the same thing on any issue, like the manager and negotiator he is: Face the problem, choose the best people with the best solutions, empower them, manage them, promote and negotiate for action.

The thing about being a thinking being is that once one first forms an opinion, one can then do more thinking and refine that opinion as more facts are introduced into the mix.

I have "evolved" my conservative thought processes a lot since I first found to FR (the day known as 911).

For years, i donated only sporadically until I came to the conclusion that FR has a valid place in the conservative battles going on. I also came to the conclusion that the Constitution is good w/o us trying to find "Noble Cause" clauses in it to suit ourselves like so many "conservative Constitutionalists" do from time to time because they don't like everything that the Constitution, in its pure form, allows.

At any rate - we all change and we can only hope it's for the better.

Now for a short public service announcement to all on FR:
We need to ensure we don't get another Obama-like America Hater as the next President.
The best way to ensure that is to actively support a candidate as the next President.
I prefer Cruz and my money goes to his campaign, hence the Cruz link. If you like someone else, donate to him/her (find your own link to do it) and if you use FR and don't donate, then please don't complain about the welfare leeches or those who have Obama Phones because, functionally, you are no different than any other FReeloader

PS - If you are one of those who cannot afford even a small donation to FR or a candidate, God Bless and happy FReeping!.....

GO CRUZ!! Keep it up Trump!!

Donate to FR

Donate to Cruz

Donate to FR
