The 2,009 page fiscal 2016 spending deal that the Republican House leadership released today authorizes $1,205,146,000,000 in federal outlays between now and the end of fiscal 2016, according to the Congressional Budget Office, and it does not prohibit funding of Planned Parenthood, according to the House Appropriations Committee.
The spending bill is paired with a separate 233-page tax bill.
âWe are maintaining all of our pro-life protections, including the Hyde Amendment, and we are making cuts to the UNFPA program,â House Speaker Paul Ryan said of the omnibus spending bill at a press conference today.
Planned Parenthood is the nationâs top abortion provider. In its latest annual report (2013-2014), it said that it did 327,653 abortions in fiscal 2013 (which ended on Sept. 30, 2013), and that in the year that ended on June 30, 2014, it received $528.4 million in government health services grants and reimbursements.
âLook in divided government, you donât get everything that you want,â Ryan said at his press conference. âRepublicans didnât get all that we wanted. Democrats didnât get all that they wanted. This is a bipartisan compromise. It is a bicameral compromise. And I understand that some people donât like some of the aspects of this. But that is the compromise that we have. And I do believe that we will have bipartisan votes on both of these bills.â
In its analysis of H.R. 2029ââThe Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2016ââthe CBO said that changes in law that will be made by the bill will have the net effect of increasing the federal deficit by $57.6 billion in the ten-year period from fiscal 2016 through fiscal 2025.
“We’ll fight planned parenthood when we have the presidency we promise”
He will soon announce his new name of Muhammed Pauwar Rywaki
but paul krugman (is that his name,, that @#$@#$ from the NY Times?) says debt is just GREAT.
and he’s won prizes for economics so he must be right!!!
I mean, a 40k credit card debt is MUCH better than say, 3k. It just makes sense s/
On the bright side, at least the GOP-e didn't allow the government to be "shut down". Then the media, the Liberals, and the Gibsmedats would be mad at them too!
And that’s when you need to pay interest only and get another 40k credit card.
(Was Goober's last name Pyle?)
of course.
Our “leaders” are criminals. Pathetic.
Cromnibus II
Just like the money changers in the Temple..no better
Ryan is a scumbag and history will judge him harshly..with his best buddy Boehner
It’s time to end the one party rule in DC...the Demolicans need to go!!
(Traitors to the babies. Traitors to equal protection, due process, and the rule of law. Traitors to the moral principles of the Declaration of Independence. Traitors to every stated purpose of the U.S. Constitution, and its explicit, imperative requirements. Traitors to their own oaths of office. Traitors to Posterity.)
Traitors to the end! Who’s suprised!
Yup... Uniparty. No doubts anymore. You Trumpies-—if Trump is made president, he had better come through, he had better rip down this gawd-awful budget we have, he had better tear out the enablers and slinking skunkbags and bring this country back to a sensible level.
Yeah, I’m putting a lot on his shoulders, but that’s what needs to be done... with any potential Republican president.
bloody obscene. What a bunch of whores.
It’s not just going to fail. Eye for an eye, limb for limb, life for life. God never changes.
This is what happens when the US dollar is the reserve currency of the world, where the politicians can print money, issue trillions of debt, finance the big welfare state and finance wars.
This country does not deserve to have the reserve currency of the world anymore. The US dollar finances injustice, war, theft and pathology world wide.
RINO’s must be feathering their collective nests because they know the gravy train’s running out of gas.
The RINO’s must go, or this will just keep happening. We all knew Paul Ryan would do this to us.
....and these establishment types can’t figure out why we support Trump.
